Your cue tip is round....Use it Instead of the cueball.... When you address the cueball focus on the cue ball....once down on the ball switch focus to cue- tip....see the curve?...align the cue Tip curvature to your target....

Do you recommend doing a lot of repetitions on all of your drills or when a person reaches around a 500 Fargo rating is it better to play the ghost?
@poolteacher23 күн бұрын
@@BillCox-u2r if you have a 500 Fargo rating you most likely have mechanical issues. Drills won’t make you better until you are mechanically sound. If you are interested in a free consultation let me know. 606-669-8401

I'm so confused, first you said 1, 2, 3, 3.5 then you said 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and put the cue ball at the corner pocket which should be 8 but then you said, "If you're at 5," which I read to be 8. I'm sure this is a great system and thank you for putting it together but I was so lost.

As a former shortstop who retired for 12 years, I listen to you from time to time to keep my unconscious loaded with good habits and I THANK YOU for that opportunity-as I’m only able to play a few weeks every 4 months. I truly wish you would do a Halloween edition in which you emulate Paul Bearer, I’m telling you it would be a total gas and reach so many! Love your open mind and how you put thoughts into words. “Playing with reckless abandonment” is a goal for us all, as stress is the lack of control and open freedom can allow us such a liberating and empowering time at the table.

THIS..was by far the best advice ever given..just started doing this and the results was amazing..now I need to do a few couple hour practices to get the new foot alignment down..but the funny thing is a instructor I went to when I started standing like this I was told youll never reach a high level not being centered with your nose not the center of your sights..

I haven't played pool since the 70s. But I used to hit accurate cut shots with one simple observation, to add to your excellent video--that the point where the cue ball hits the object ball is the same distance for it's edge of the object ball that it is from the opposite edge of the cue ball. A cut to the left say that hits 1/4" from the right edge of the OB is contacted by the spot that/s 1/4" from the left edge of the cue ball. So, when you line up those two spots and then aim the cue stick thru the center of the cueball parallel with that line of sight, you'll see a spot on the far rail it's aiming right at. Just aim at the spot full on, and that ball is going in! That makes it as easy to make a far away cut shot as it is a near cut shot. Just something I noticed.

Great info. As a professional golf instructor and a local pool instructor, it amazes me how pool instructors want to criticize and disavow what other instructors are saying. In the golf business, that was totally unacceptable. I see many national teachers showing drills on how to get to the center of the table. My center is an 8 inch box from the true center. I do not know any instructors who would consider a ball 3 inches from the spot, the center of the table. Some of it is semantics but lets work together to get people interested and playing better pool.

To play and develop very well on Amercan sized pool table, get your child an English/Irish dimentioned pool table with smaller balls and pockets, and then later in life wherever they are in the world playing on American sized tables it will seem easy to them and they will win 90% of games.

I think the ball on the end rail is worse than you have said. If there is 12.5% of the table from the first diamond and the ball can be made from two triangles on either side of the ball inside that 12.5%, I reckon that leaves about 8% of table that the ball can be made from.

Between shots I feel my cuetips, my cue, the texture, I rub my fingers together. Listen to sounds....its called living in the positive and the present and to get out of our heads!
