The seven women who are taking hold of one man are CHURCHES, not actual women. The one man is Christ. The STAY and STAFF represent the FULLNESS of the Gospel which will be rejected by the Gentiles. The churches are begging Christ to take away their reproach for their earlier APOSTACY. Even though they are still trying to provide for themselves instead of relying on Christ. They still don't get it.
