This is based on the only Pulitzer Prize (correction: Nobel Prize) winning work of Sci Fi ever, Aniara. It's a Swedish poem about one of the last ships to escape a dieing Earth. The ship gets hit by an asteroid, and is knocked off course into deep space. Brilliant Idea, fantastic song.

Damn! Finally a band with a singer that doesn't sound like a copy of Russell Allen and emphasizes on melodies and clean vocals! Loving this track!

THIS IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE ! Not a single part that's not epic, touching, powerful, meaningful, and Tommy's voice, and the guitar riffs, the instrumentals, just BREATHTAKING !! Listening to it on repeat, it takes so much time but fuck it, it's just so fucking amazing ♥

Everyone is hating on yall just cuz they dont had the mental compacity to pull something like this off. You guys do its great clear lyrics with amazing melody and is still very harmonic. The switch ups dont take away from eachother but add to the previous and lead to the next section. Great job keep it up.

The great thing of this song is that it is a long, epic prog song that does not overwhelm the listener. It showcases virtuosity but in a tasteful way that does not leave you dazed by the virtuosity itself, rather by the songwriting that is happening here. A great song.

I absolutely love the intro (...and the world wept.) The vocals are just so clean and chilling. I know it's definitely not the most 'exciting' part of this song... but it's certainly what hooked me in to be honest.

Many are complaining about sharing songs on youtube. I'm not gonna say that I hope noone are content with crappy 480p quality, but will actually discover the band and buy their records. I can peronally recommend all three from Waiting in the Wings up until The Great Escape. Mercy Falls and TGE are both masterpieces, not a single bad/boring song there. Stellar vocals/v harmonies, arrangement, bass, and drumming, and great guitars and keyboards too!
@LolaLolasen12 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I found SW on KZbin, and have listened to them a lot here at KZbin, but still I just bought "Mercy Falls" and will probably buy the Great Escape as well.

it's actually got somewhat of an 80's sound to it. and this is the ONLY power metal band that I will accept that from, just because I fucking love tommy in kamelot. honestly, i'd probably enjoy it from other bands too, if I gave them a chance. the only reason I gave these guys a chance is, like I said, tommy.

tommy in kamelot is very average, but his work in seventh wonder is literally some of the best vocal work i've heard in metal. Incredible power, incredible vocal range, great emotion. Also the instrumental work in Seventh Wonder is miles ahead of kamelot, its not often a prog metal band comes along that does more than just rip off Dream Theatre.

I didn't mean the bass guitar as such, just all the bottom end from the audio drops out dramatically. Sounds odd, I haven't really come across that happening during songs before.

That's pretty good attention to me. And see, it has 12k views already. people can come here to check this band out and if they like what they hear they can maybe make the decision to buy the song themselves.
