Now he’s got a dependable OC to coach OFFENSE which we haven’t had since we had BV. We lost Riley to USC lebby to miss st and now we have Arbuckle to run the offense. Oklahoma is going to be fine! Sleeping on a sleeping giant is crazy dude.

Interesting and unexpected thing yesterday: Damonic Williams didnt rule out a return next year rather than declare as we all expected. Apparently, he didn't quite get the best draft grade (that baffles me). Either way, a return of Williams to our interior next year along with everyone else we have, wow, that could very well the the best defensive line in rhe country

Jmho: one of the reasons top portal players are avoiding OU is the awful Oline. Another is BV's hotseat. He is 12-16 vs P5 schools. Most people think he has to have a good season next Fall or he'll be fired.

You also as usual are blowing things out of perspective since we have Burks and Gibson who are both day 1 or 2 type NFL talent. I believe the coaching staff understands the process involved!!! In this day and age, there’s always a rush to be first is there ever a rush to be right ??? And when there’s a rush to be first and not right, there’s a rush to judgment, and when there’s a rush to judgment, you take action, you shouldn’t have not taken in the first place because you rushed through it and didn’t go through the process. BV is a process guy.

These players are getting paid. The age of developing players is over with NIL aka “pay to play” and transfer portal. BV was focused on building the best development program possible, what happens? Players are not ready, don’t take care of themselves and got injured and won’t play… you get a sub 500 season 2 years in a row and his job is on the line. Get the best players that are ready and fit your scheme and execute like crazy. This way at least you can win enough games to make the playoff.

OU Coaches need to make a greater emphasis on starting High school players in yr 1. Grabbing portal guys to start over them sends a bad message, not to mention it a function of them not "DRAFTING" well from the high school ranks. Just like the NFL, each position should have a monetary value. Paying a player big money to wait his turn is foolishness. If a kid get paid, the expectation better be he's playing and being developed simultaneously.

There is no point in getting these warm bodies like Baklenko when they don’t immediately upgrade the room. At WR OU needs a difference maker plain and simple and it seems as though they are getting the second tier of receivers as what they thought they would get. They are more or less the same, just look at what Brown did last year at Michigan State (3 sacks and 18 pressures allowed) and what Baklenko did this year (4 sacks and 22 pressures allowed). Baklenko is just a new name, doesn’t mean he makes things better and I’ve seen nothing on tape to say otherwise or say he’s better than Sexton, Taylor, or Howland.
