Almost 2 years ago you gave my son one of the jungle blankets. I mentioned he had surgery and he wanted to do an a tv marathon of your channel. So you sent him that blanket. He turns 12 tomorrow and he still loves that blanket. He takes it camping with us. He uses it on his bed. He lays on the floor wrapped up in it watching movies. It's been well loved. Thank you Luke for sending him it.

Luke, I’m glad I watched this video today. As you might remember from a previous comment, I have struggled against a brain tumor(oligodendroglioma) since 03/21/2010. Yep, today marks the fourteenth since waking from a month long coma. Instead of being happy at beating the odds for another year, my mind started thinking of my “old self”- the pre tumor version of me. Then I clicked on this video. The story you told, regarding the subscriber who passed of cancer, hit me like a ton of bricks. I may be on chemo today, but at least I am still above ground. “Get busy living, or get busy dying, popped into my head. Cheers and Carpe Diem to you dude. 🤙

Vote with your wallet. If you want USA made, buy the $600 tent over the $150 version. I always look forward to your videos. They are so relaxing. Your photography in your videos is top notch. I don't know what you do for your day job, but you can always get a job using your photography skills. Two questions for you - Do you have a site where people are able to purchase your photos? I know you have some unusual shots. I enjoyed seeing the perspective of your work - seeing something from a different point of view. From watching your channel, one would think you would take mostly nature shots. The other question is - once you get home with all your wet gear - how do you go about getting your tent and tarps clean and dry? Thanks for going to all the trouble of showing different views of your campsite. The shots of the different angles of the outside of the tarp with the rain pouring down made me feel even more into the scene. There you were nice and cozy under the tarp, but having to get wet to show us how the site really looked with the rain pouring down. I appreciate the effort.

Not related to the video, but I'd like to ask the community for some advice. I plan on buying a backpack for some 2-5 days hikes. I was planning to buy the decathlon mt100 backpack (80$) but then I saw that the osprey atmos AG 50l LT backpack is on sale (from 260$ to 180$) and was wondering if it's worth the additional 100$. A few more things: - I don't plan to go on 2-5 days long hikes this year, but I'd like to prepare myself by buying gear that is on sale throughout this year (and get myself into better shape in the meantime). - I know that you should buy the backpack last, but the "big 3" that I plan to buy take up roughly 18-20l of space so I hope that the remaining 30l are enough. - I also don't plan on doing winter hikes, so my equipment would be 3-season and should not be "that" bulky. Looking forward to the advice. Edit: I'm from Europe if that helps.

Great video as always Luke. Your comments about the Toyota's setting sales records really resonated with me. About a year and a half ago I was in the market for a new vehicle and was really looking hard at Tacoma's, but even then they were selling so fast in my area that by the time the car hauling truck showed up at the lot they had already sold everything on it in transit. I ended up with a new Mazda CX-5 and although I love it, it is definitely not meant for camping. I will keep it a few years and hope the car market slows down in the meantime.

When you think about it, even though the item is purchased in China I don’t understand why that would be upsetting to anyone. The effort to get it here like you went through, shipped, checked, trucked, warehouses, to couriers to buyer is all American. It’s like avocados and tofu and these organic products are all flown in US doesn’t produce them. Tea also china, here in Scotland, much of fresh North Sea fish, France wine - either do without pay extra or don’t complain about something that’s really not that big of a deal. If the US created these same products for same price then wouldn’t be a problem
