in the book i think he was doing it more for Lily than Harry, in the book when Dumbledor asked if he grew to care for the boy Snape was like "For Him???" like he was insulted then he showed his patronus that it was Lily he cared for, BUUT in the movies he shows us he dose care for him in a sense he wants Harry to do well, I love movie snape more for that reason Alan Rickman's adaption of the character was awesome! in the book Snape was more of an asshole and to be honest abit more creepy I could never see movie Snape act like 😅 I laugh abit when I read about snape in the books 😂 feels so out of character when you watch the movies first
