I put elastic in the waist seam. It cinches the waist and gives the shape i want. Yours lovely too.

I always prefer putting the band (waistbands, armbands, etc.) on the inside, and folding it over to the outside, and press. That way I can topstitch evenly on the visible side without missing any of the edge as happened to you. Your dress turned out very nice and the color is becoming on you!

Beautiful material, it does look a bit fiddly to do the binding. I just wonder … no one ever bastes or tacks these days, everyone pins and clips. I am probably quite a bit older but we were taught the old way I guess and by basting, everything stays in place before stitching. I know it takes longer but it does seem easier to me. You’ve made a lovely job and it’s a gorgeous dress. I’ve ordered this pattern, can’t wait to try it.

Yes you can! just criss coss the top pieces on the bodice to give more coverage.

I really like your version best. I've steered away from wrap dresses and tops because of the plunging necklines (link on the cover of the envelope) , not sure how you did that. Did you adjust the neckline - I could have missed it.

because it had so much ease on the waiste I just criss crossed them more. I didnt line up the two peices where the directions say to do it. I overlapped them further making the necline smaller.

That is so true!..about Jen and Ben.. The bodice is not lined on this one...it is really easy...just a lot of steps..and yes you do have to use binding on the bodice which is probably what you are referring to. 😊

I have my right and left needle set to a 5 and the differential fee is at the 2. it saves so much time. The fabric is like a really light cotton, rayon. I purchased it from Hobby Lobby.Thank You for watching!

hi, I just overlapped the criss cross farther in...which makes the width of the bodice smaller but i don't think that matters at all because this is a very very loose fitting dress.
