Thank you so much, I agree with one of the other commenters the patterns never tell you how to sew a limb on, it just says sew it, even the beginners patterns.

Thank you soooo much!!! This is so helpful!!! I just made a zebra and was about to wing it when I found your video and I'm so glad I did!!! I now feel much more confident about attaching and assembling all of the pieces. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Another option is to hold the head in place on the body with some fine knitting needles. Skewer style 😀

Good video. A couple of ideas I haven't tried. I like the way she used the pins. I have been pinning like I was sewing fabric, sideways. The pins are always in the way of the sewing. Can't wait to try pinning in vertically.

Thank you so much for this video, it is very clear and easy to follow. Most patterns and videos don’t show you how to join pieces together so it is very helpful. I made Gloria the goat and followed this video when adding the pieces so it has come out very well and looks just like your pattern. Many thanks 👍😃❤️

While the pieces are flat, I fold and use waste yarn to mark centre front back and both sides, then continue these down as I work more of the head. I mark the centre front and sides of the body as well, so I don't have to agonise over it later. Waste yarn can stay in until the toy is completed, so If things don't end up quite right, I can remove them and re-position. I find it easier to attatch limbs and ears etc while the body and head are separate. I can get my fingers inside to hold the stuffing away, or find placement and remove stuffing until sewn on, I don't like having to get stuffing back out of sewn stitches. If I'm making another toy from the same pattern, I count stitches on my sample toy, to position pieces to a formula, and sew ears and eyes on before finishing crocheting the head. I whip stitch then ladder stitch, for strong attatchments. I leave sewing tail (LST), 4× seam length and 4cm/11/2 inches. To keep track of pieces I use my sewing tails to 'cobble' them on to their places as completed. I find it easier to see what is still needed. On flat joined pieces, I like to sew the end shut, then I sew each side down separately, which is easier that going from side to side with each stitch. These can be still sewn into the same spaces on the body. I use extra blunt needles to hold things on, can't prick my fingers. Doll neeedles(long) and mattress needles(longer) are very good for getting positioning even.

Hi there .. I have the patterns of urs for the mermaid dolls that u posted in March 21 , 2017 on ur website and was curious to know what exact yarns and color names u used for a couple of the dolls u show in pics on ur website? 😊 Like the dolls with a green bikini top and hot pink top and the one with light pink top brown skin and embroidered eyes u did . Those are 3 were wondering what yarn colors were called for hair . I know a boucle yarn I guess lion brand but also color names 😋 I hope u can help me with this cause I’ve really been searching hard lol 😂 thanks u!

So when you are doing the ears are you going under the ear through the head and then bring it back the other way through the ear. Or are you going through the head and ear at the same time then back through the ear only?
