Chloe love the embroidery and definitely the birds. As for the cutting error, my friends granny said if you make a mistake, make a feature of it, topstitching down the front will look ok as it will continue on the back crutch seam.

Great video ladies, loving seeing your progress. I have an "edge guide" foot and love it! I use it for hems, understitching and topstitching... it was a game changer (at least with my baseline straight line sewing skills). Love the embroidery too Chloe - very inspiring 🤩

I always use the adjustment for the needle position to enable consistent top stitching , I also take a photo on my phone of the settings for the needle and the top stitch length

Sad that Alma made the cutting mistake but it was good to see how shes rescued it and not let it ruin the whole thing. Chloes embroidery is gorgeous

There are Jeans patterns that you sew the extension on so really not a big error as long as you have made up the loss of seam allowance and I am pretty sure the seam will be hidden but you could be sneaky and put seam take over if worried. As for the feet you need the blind hem foot often with the machine it has a thin metal guide in the middle that you move your needle to one side or it has an adjustable guide on the side. I have the middle guide against the seam then move my needle to the +/- 2 pending which side the seam is this gives the 1/8th / 3mm. I also use a 1/4” foot (quilting foot). Top tips I do the 1/4” first so I can remove pins and stable for the narrower top stitching, I also use a hump jumper when topstitching over seam crossovers like the crotch & yoke. Great work so far and thanks for sharing your experience.

Oh cutting errors. So hard. I find out I have made a cutting error when I usually am deep into sewing. And I thought I was so in a focused zone. hmmmm. Great save!

Watch pocket?

oh yes that might be right actually, the little pocket might have been to keep a watch on a chain! We will research 😊
