Great debrief. I always find I get more into it as the series goes on and I get to know the contestants better.

I have a coverstitch machine and wouldn't be without it! I sew mostly with jersey and use it to hem all my jersey tops, skirts and dresses (plus the hems on sleeves). It gives a lovely professional finish without the tunneling effect you frequently see on jersey hems people have used a twin needle on. It is a luxury to have so I got it for my 50th birthday.

Every time you have had some sort of survey regarding our opinions on what you could design, I have repeatedly asked for active wear with your vintage touch. 😂 I think it would be fabulous 😂

Thanks for doing that talk about the bee shows 🤩 I just found it, will have a look for last weeks 🙃 Wasn't t the pattern challenge something like a sweatshirt with a half zip? It reminded me of the "Seaman's Troyer". It's made of wool, okay, but… I do have a babylock coverlock, and I use it regularly for hems and the neckline in knits. Okay, I do sew all of my tees, and I do not want to miss it! And I totally agree with your view of the transformation challenge! If they had said "create something wild, but somehow wearable", some sewers would not have been so terrified! AND then there was someone brave enough to use the "whatsitcalled" and they were reprimanded for it 🥺 I felt so sorry for her. Oh, yes, Claudia Winkleman, I miss her soo muach. I do like the others as well, of course, but her way was just the bestest. For me at least 😉Looking very much forward for your next weeks debrief!

My Elba Overlocker (Serger) looks like it can do cover stitch if you drop the needle and set it appropriately - I might try

I fast forward the transformation challenge as I never enjoy it, and dislike the comments from Esmeralda 😂
