I am the same way with letting things sit instead of forcing momentum on a project. I’m a long armer and I need to just have the quilt hanging before quilting so that whenever I walk past it, I think about possibilities of what I want to quilt on it. I will change my mind several times before I come to the final idea of what I think will accent the fabrics and pattern for the quilting design. And sometimes the ideas come to me while sleeping because it is in my mind, even while sleeping!

The end of this past June my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer so I have really not been in my sewing room in a while. I started back crocheting so I could keep my hands busy while still being with him. I have so many plushies, amigurumi, and key chains. Thank heavens for you tube and Instagram! MANY free patterns and loads of you tube tutorials and crochet a longs. I love your wobbles' SO CUTE!

Sorry to hear about ur struggle. I am glad the crocheting is helping to fill ur hours. I love crochet but what to do with all the things u make? I ended up donating my hooks and yarn collection to a local school that had a fibre creation club.

Favorite get together with gfs is our annual sleepover with my tap sisters. We tap danced together for about 20 years and even though most are no longer dancing we get together every year at a cabin on a lake. There is usually a theme to the get together and everyone dresses for that theme with a prize for best costume. Plus there's swimming and boating and going to plays, fairs or whatever other events are happening during the get together. Lots of fun.

Sara, your design is gorgeous. I work as the advanced illness coordinator for a home health and hospice agency. I think. What would make it perfect is if you made it highly structured with the metal openings that you have on some of your bags with a loose flap to go over the top for privacy and then a heavy decoville base to give it a really firm structure. You might even put little tie downs to attach it to the legs of the Walker so that it doesn't flap or overbalance. I'm just spitballing your design with the features that I would add to it to make it safe and secure for some of the people who Bebop around in the facilities that I go into. It really is a great start. Your design skills are phenomenal.

On the cord, if you start one end and keep the full length, come out at the middle, slide the cord through the cord toggle and then back through it and then back in the casing to the end. The toggle will never fall off.

Left handed and I love the bag. I would change the size to fit my mother's walker and add side velcro straps to attach to the sides for it to hang straight. A double zipper on top would make the opening bigger. lube the zippers to make it pull easier and a narrow connecting strap to pull both zippers at once would be easy to get hold of. Hope this all makes sense! I would also add a pocket to one side for a water bottle or maybe make a separate bag just for that to match.

Thanks for designing a bag for those of us who use either a walker or wheelchair. Much needed support for us. My suggestion would be to create a purse/ bag for a separate design for walker and wheel chair. The needs are different used. I use a Walker - I have Parkinson’s disease so hand accessibility is different for me from someone who is sitting down. I need more storage and a secured purse that won’t be targeted by someone to steal from my purse. It’s a lot of thinking- thanks so much. ❤

Thanks Sara for continued working on a wheelchair/walker bag. I think it would be so nice to offer a fashionable and useful bag for individuals. I will look forward to your next effort
@bonniemcentyre17062 ай бұрын
I’m a righty, favorite candy is the Cherry Pull apart twizzlers. And with bag for walkers/wheelchairs, I was thinking a double zipper with string connecting the zipper pulls so that it’s wider and when opened the flap flips to the side. Easier grasp for someone who has issues with dexterity.

I have worked with Wheelchair patients. Usually, the o ly place to put a pack is in the back slung over the handles. This works if the user is more able to turn or self-transfer to get access to the pack. I think the pack you made is something that could be used attached to the inside of a seat or a cross body lap bag. I look forward to see what you design.
