Hello, Sew Custom! First, I want to thank you so much for sharing your time and wisdom with us. I have been sewing since I was 12 (now 70) and I have never stopped enjoying it. In fact, I'm addicted to it😀. I want to know where you buy your fabric. I wish I could have sewn the short jacket with that exact pink woven fabric that you have. Instead, I had to make it in a pink/peach/yellow/white upholstery print from an upholstery fabric store (Michael Levine in Los Angeles, California). Now, why are you missing May and June 2019? It's July 1, 2019 tomorrow. I really enjoy sewing along with you more than any of the other seamstresses on KZbin. God bless you.

The thing that amazes me is how well you know your body and what will suit it. That striped dress OMG amazing and the stripe matching on the bodice into the 'V' stunning. This is the first time I've seen the twist other than in the waist, again just awesome!!

I really hope you do a tutorial on dress 5 & 6 love that style so much. I really like the blue deep v neck as well and can't wait to see the revamp of that one too! I have heavy arms so dolman sleeves are something I tend to gravitate to. I just got my pattern making book that you recommended by Gillian...but I also just found out we are moving so a quick read through the book and into a box until we get moved! I know I repeat myself a lot but I really love the detail you go into when doing your tutorials as well as when you do your follow up likes and dislikes and what you would change. It really shows your professionalism that you can admit something just isn't right and you won't let it go until it is! Keep sewing and I'll keep following! Have a fant-abulous day!

Thanks so much Cecile 💕👍💕 I think one of these may well make the channel at some stage 🤔🤔🤔 my trouble is there are so many styles I want to learn 😉 I'm exactly the same with sleeve preference, I've always gravitated to any sort of grown on style 👌👌👌I really hope you enjoy the book once you've settled into to your new home, I've learned so much from it👌 You're so very kind to say that Cecile, thank you and good luck with the move💕🍀💕

Do to work issues....too much from fall to spring...and I miss spending time sewing, and my favorite vlogs!! So I doing catch-up!! Just wanted to say I love love love your jackets!! You had stated that the pink one felt a bit "boxy", and I didn't think so...until the blue one!! You totally see what you are saying!! and as for the twist dress...I love the blue and white with the chevron stripe...that would look great on a lot of dress bodices and t-shirts...sooooo flattering!! and I love the one you are wearing...it is so "movie star from the golden era"...Katherine Hepburn?!! Doris Day?!! Gorgeous!! and also the black one gives a similar vibe!! Well done!! and I will be going back ...to catch up on all I have missed!! Thank you for sharing...as always!!

WOW, WOW, WOW Susanne!! 😍😍😍 Considering the amazing details and all the tailoring you do, you get SO much made in one month! You are truly remarkable! Although you are waaaay out of my league, I still learn a lot from watching your videos and love watching them all (I get so excited when I see a new video from you in my inbox!) ITY stands for Interlock Twist Yarn, (I only know that because I saw some on offer and had to Google it) It is fabulously soft, stretchy and drapey, but I love it! Have a wonderful weekend! As always, TFS 👍❤

Hi Suzanne. Was off for a mini vacation, but had to watch your video as soon as I got home. Such a bevy of beauties! So much work involved in those "to die for" jackets. And the wrap dresses suit you so well. I admire how you stick to a certain design for several pieces until you feel comfortable with your technique. I'm always running to the next project. LOL Can't wait for your next video. Big Hugs.

Gorgeous makes as ever. You use so many different types of fabric for your garments I wish you would do a vlog explaining the feel, texture and how you choose a certain type of fabric for a project. I find trying to buy fabric online a nightmare when you can’t see it or feel it, it’s all so confusing. 😊🤞
@SewCustom5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Katherine💕👍💕 I have the same experience as you do when buying fabrics online, sometimes it feels a bit like a lottery choosing what you think is the right one for the job and when you receive it its the opposite of what you were expecting and doesn't suit the purpose at all😩😩😩 this is one of the reasons I have so many fabrics in my stash😩 I've published this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp20o6SwlM91odk 👍 hopefully its helpful🍀🤞🍀

Thanks so much Leann💕👍💕 I jump straight into drafting 😧 I have attempted draping, very unsuccessfully, a good while ago. Draping definitely interests me and i would love to have another go as I feel I understand flat patterning a little bit better now which will hopefully make for a more successful outcome. Goodness knows when i'll get round to it though🤔🤔🤔

I bet your boss thinks he’s paying you too much in wages 😂 do you wear everything you make because you must have a spare bedroom full of wardrobes, lucky girl. Beautiful makes as usual I get so jealous I think I must be stupid because I just cannot get my head around making body blocks they would make life so much easier.
@SewCustom5 жыл бұрын
Oh Julie, if only 😉 I live in a tiny little house with very limited wardrobe space, I just need to keep myself organized (which doesn't always work😩) I do wear all of the items I'm happy with though, just yesterday I wore the black number from this video to a function in the morning and the red floral out last night👌👌👌 I so know what you mean about the blocks, I wanted to make mine for so long and thought I just wasn't capable as I couldn't understand the steps in any of the videos I watched, its so demoralizing. I still don't understand some of the steps. What made it easier for me in the end was finding a really good resource and telling myself I didn't need to understand it as long as I could follow the steps to the letter. I really hope this happens for you too Julie🍀🤞🍀 Thanks so much and have a wonderful weekend💕💕💕

Hello, I love Channel jackets, but really dislike twist dresses. My belly and hips are huge. I think that the dresses look like someone grabbed and snatched the woman around the waist and the fabric stayed stuck like that. Lol

Me too on Chanel style jackets but I'm the complete opposite to you in that I love this style 😉 your description of how the shape is formed is hilarious though😁😁😁
