Yes, I agree on this channel, in their own playlist, as regularly scheduled content.... i.e. the third week of the month, or every other Thursday: whatever works 🤷🏽‍♀️

I vote for books and magazines , once in a while. I think a playlist would be great. But I don’t think you need a whole separate channel. It would be cool if you went through a book and then made something from it too.

I would legitimately die if you went through your Delineators and Godey's 😍😭 1880s and 1890s magazines and ladies' journals are one of my greatest loves. Would happily sit through many an hour long instalment! And keep them on this channel ❤

The skirts (and entire collection) turned out so well! I really love the way you used the elastic at the back. It's not only functional, but looks like the gathering at the back of a walking skirt. I'd enjoy taking a closer look at your magazines...I don't think you need a separate channel for them. 😃

I've gotta admit, the sheer ambition with which you started out this wardrobe got me motivated. At home with my kids due to the pandemic, I couldn't get much done in two weeks, but I have, since that video made a 1951 summer overall for my son, a 1937 sailor hat for him, started a 1950 2 piece summer playsuit for my daughter, which should be finished tomorrow, and have fabric and patterns ready for the next 5 pieces I plan to make this summer.. AND organised a system to actually get it done. I have a loose time frame, and I think none of us benefit from having to shortcut our way to the goal, but that sparky ambition you have is infectious, and even though neither of us got it all done in a fortnight, you've done an amazing job, and I have been more productive than any summer before in my life. All I can say is thankyou.

I think it's so cool that you have both Godey's Lady's Book and Quantum Chemistry on the same bookshelf. My nerd heart sings. The skirts look wonderful! Longform readthroughs on this channel would be awesome, I think we would all watch it just as regularly as your other content. How amazing is that hem marker!

The whole Essentials set came out so well! And I'd love to get to explore your book and magazine collection every so often. If it ends up messing with your statistics, you can always move that type of series to a second channel but I feel like it should be fine to keep it on the main to start with at least.

@@rd6203 From what I've heard via several creators, KZbin calculates some of its payouts on consistency of views in addition to overall views. If one type of video does not perform as well as most others, it may make KZbin put a creator on a lower level, or not promote them as much (thus why a bunch of creators have two channels, with one being something more like a blog and the other being their main channel). It also sometimes makes more sense to have very different content on two different channels, like reviewer PushingUpRoses having a separate channel for her art creation.

I used a hemline chalking device way back in the '60s. It worked pretty well! I've also just measured down from the waistband and marked the hemline around. The fullness of the skirt would hide slight discrepancies. Thank you for another engaging video!

Your outfits look terrific. I would enjoy seeing your books and magazines, so whenever you wish to share, please do. I don't see the necessity of starting another channel. Including such vlogs on this existing one sounds awesome to me. After all, sometimes, we want to knit, sometimes sew, sometimes read, and sometimes we like to see other people doing all these things!

I was just thinking, “I wish we were friends! A) Because I just want to love on Nutella. She’s so CUTE! (I’m a dog person) and B) so I could sit and go through your books with you,” when you asked if we wanted videos of you going through your books!! The answer is a resounding, “Yes, please.” I learned to knit at 5, crochet at 6, sew at 10, and taught myself to tat in my early 20’s…my deep love is for vintage patterns and instructions. Thank you for sharing your collection!! Your summer wardrobe is darling, versatile, and looks oh so comfy. I’m quite inspired to work on my own! Oh! A series on this channel, please?

The missus was watching this next to me on her laptop and I had to log in to give my input to the question. We watch those catalog vids on the CH channel too. Its a great resource for references. I know if you do make those vids we will both watch. As far as a different channel, I think youll probably grow with time and skill. Your interests can broaden. The kind of hobbies you have lend themselves to multiple skills. As a viewer, I think its all relevant to what you do here and would like to see the body of your work in one place.

I don't think you need a separate channel, if you want to do long lives with magazines for your audience, we are already here:) I wanted to ask you how do you store your magazines, the ones not bound as books? Paper envelopes, folders, plastic boxes? I bought some 1940s and 50s magazines last year and they just sit as they came, but I want to organize them properly

The outfits look great. The fabric and color choices really work well together. I hope to get a few pieces for this fall figured out soon. I was not organized enough for summer. At one point I got distracted by the quantum chemistry book next to the coding books, which are adjacent to the cookbook. The combination just made me smile. Looking over at my bookshelf, I think I see a Carl Sagan book next to a vegetarian sushi book, so it's about the same... 😀

I'm a lazy hemmer. I always measure from the waistband/waistseam down with a measurement that I have taken from a skirt or dress I've made before. I must say it's not ideal when I make my slips though, since my slip pattern doesn't have that unbroken horizontal line around the waist as all my dresses and skirt has, but with everything else it works just fine.
