Hi Rachel! I just wanted to say that though you often express that you're worried that your videos won't be interesting or engaging enough, if you posted a tutorial on how to fold a tablecloth, we'd probably still watch. Your videos are peaceful and so much fun to sew along to, no matter what you're making. Do what you feel like, and we'll be grateful for it!

Not sure if anyone has suggested it, but Maker's Hill would be a cute name. You're using part of "Maksy" but it is not overly exclusive because it is also referencing your creative side without limiting it to sewing or film-making, or any other specific form of "making." And you get the "Hill" part, which is a bonus.

Farm name suggestion: get a pair of binoculars and find our what the local birds are. Choose your favourite one, name the farm after it (or a group of those birds, like a murder of crows or a parliament of owls). So you could live in Starling Hill Farm, or Goldfinch Charm. Also, do you like alliteration? Like Curlew Cottage or Mockingbird Manor.

I love the deep dives into one project, ESPECIALLY when creators show their mistakes! I enjoy KZbin shorts and TikTok and such for mindless scrolling, but so often lately I see sewing videos that are like 5 minutes or less highlights reels when I want to see the nitty gritty! Especially the planning, sourcing, the decision process, all that! Its like Food Network Cake Wars vs. Great British Bake Off. Sure, the drama on Cake Wars is sometimes fun but they never talk about the actual art form, it's all setting up bakers to fail then watching the car crash. Great British Bake Off is calming, full of positivity and you learn things in a fun way, watching masters of an art form create. You're my Great British Bake Off 😅 I feel good and positive after watching, I learn from your mistakes and successes and you entertain me as I go! Also there are so many sewing things no one ever tells you! I like that you go from the start and talk about all the things! But then again, as someone else said you could probably make a video about a tablecloth and I would be like YES

Also you can bag line it, Rachel kind of did it the hard way here. If you don't need any boning, just put the right sides together and sew all away around the perimeter except for the bottom edge and then flip it right sides out. That way you only have to hand sew the bottom.

When my parents got their farm, I suggested something like “uncanny farms” or “phantasma farms” (I had a really good one at the time but I can’t remember it) and I had an entire story planned out about a witch coven in the woods that we could spread around as local folklore to give the farm a Halloween touch. They didn’t go for it :/

Finding little treasures in an old house is always so cool. When we moved in, we found a bat whistle on top of the medicine cabinet. I don't know if it was an actual Halloween party favor, but I put it on a shelf among my Halloween collection. Tiny Robin Hood is adorable. I'm glad you rescued him from his hiding spot.

The Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys show from the 1970s is absolutely one of my very favorite things ever. I could recommend so many detective shows because they are just the best things this world has to offer BUT that series is SO silly and campy and classic so it’s perfect for a cozy sit-down :)

"The Great" on Hulu is a comedy retelling based loosely (VERY loosely 🤣) on Catherine the Great's life. It's got the MA rating for a reason to be sure, but I also think it might be up your alley 😄. As to the video, I could literally watch you fold a fitted sheet and find it riveting. Your humor, personality, and editing make all of your videos fantastic.

Question 1: What type of trees you got growing at your farm? It’s not the most creative thing in the world but I’ve always been a fan of [insert foliage] Hill Farm. Question 2: If you haven’t already seen it watch The Repair Shop! So cozy so addicting! It was on Netflix but now I believe it’s on Discovery+. Also, I’d definitely recommend The Nanny on HBOmax, if you want that 90’s sitcom vibe with fashion that will make you just so jealous!

Yaaay for hidden house tray-sure! I love those stories about people who find hidden messages from previous occupants like under the flooring or wallpaper when they remodel. Like, "Greetings from Gene and Barb Sandusky who finally got rid of the horrible orange wallpaper, spring of 1984!" That kind of stuff is so cool. Unless it's like, an ominous message or something lol like "Mistakes were made on this day in 1984..." 😅 😳

I know a lot of us love your enthusiasm and vibe and the fact that watching your videos has the same energy as hanging out with the friend you dont see often but never feel out of step with Side note: I've been playing LOTRO on and off for years and its a really easy game to just jump in and out of - these days i mostly just play during the festivals and things because they're fun and silly and you get cute prizes and stuff while hanging out in the shire or bree or minas tirith. Just hanging out doing silly games or saving Aragorns wedding from inept planners

It’s cold and drizzly here and though the boiler in my circa 1915 house is tryin’ real hard, she just can’t warm it up any more so I’ve been rockin’ the double-socks ‘n’ slippers with my granny robe look! Definitely time to curled up with my feline companion, Bella and have a cozy visit with Rachel, Frodo and Binx! Absolutely love the spring side of your latest creation and really enjoyed the more relaxed vibe of you doing only one project instead of getting yourself stressed out over multiple things and time crunches, although I enjoy ALL your videos and am constantly inspired by you, regardless of what you’re making or doing. So glad that Frodo is okay. The part where you passed the message to him that he was loved. Oh, my heart…

20:54 I totally get your joy over finding the iron! I actually went and bought a new one because I couldn’t find my iron after our epic box-the-house-and-re-stump. Then I found the old one! So now I know where 2 irons are! And found an ironing board a neighbour put out for rubbish collection (it’s mechanically fine, I guess they just didn’t want to bother re-covering it). So 2 irons and enough ironing boards to iron really wide stuff! Or I guess I can have how-to-iron lessons with my kids. That might stop them announcing they’re bored…
