Sewing an unlined jacket vent

Thank you SO much!!! I need to sew a wizard's robe WITH a back vent to allow for a broom stick for this Halloween. I looked at several videos that were all incomprehensible in one way or another. Yours is very well presented. I followed along with you on a "practice" piece and was able to create a perfect back vent!!! Now I can try for the real thing! Thanks, again!

Is there ANY way to do this with a lapped seam above the vent?

Something would be possible, but you would have to play around with it to work it out. Get some fabric scraps and have a go.

Bonjour Moe, je comprends votre réaction sur cet extrait de sa vidéo. Cependant cette séquence a été sorti de son contexte. Prenez le temps de regarder plusieurs de ses vidéos (elle en fait souvent des séries à thème), peut-être vous comprendrez son mindset. Elle ne parle pas seulement de la Côte d'Ivoire tout le temps mais elle dénonce aussi beaucoup de comportements des West Af. dans la disapora. @angepriscadeanzo1
