I found your video when I was looking for inspiration - we just moved and I am trying to get ideas for my sewing room. I absolutely loved your video and descriptions of the trials and tribulations of doing it yourself. I laughed out loud when you were fussing with those peg boards because it was "so me" with the measure, calculate, .. math +ideas +reality = start again! hahaha. You did a wonderful job! This was so fun! No it wasn't too long and your commentary (to us and the kitties) was just the right touch. Who would have thought watching someone rearrange a sewing room would be so entertaining! I cringed watching you manhandle those storage units but it sure was worth it. Yes, your pleasure in the redo was there in your voice, wonky peg boards and all! They really are fine. So here's the thing. You've inspired me to do a clean out/reorg. Can't move furniture as it's all built in (thanks to my handy hubby) but there are some areas that need 'hoed out' as they say. I love coming to your channel, never know what we'll see!

We could triple the size of our sewing rooms and within a fortnight they’d be bunged again! Kitchens used to be untidy and then they invented utility rooms, that’s what we need, sewing utility rooms!x

Hello Jane. I couldn't help laughing when I saw this video. Not because it was funny, but because I had just done the exact same thing you did. OMG! I made a scaled down version of my room and major pieces of furniture and "played on paper" before I started. I know exactly why you had such a wonderful smile on your face when it was finished. I did too. Now all I want to do is go to my sewing room and let the fun begin. I've heard it said "great minds think alike". What do you think?? :-) Your room looks absolutely lovely. Enjoy.

I finally got a sewing space albeit very small and getting everything squeezed in gave me such a feeling of solidness. I am starting to create now. Replace the coffee with a nice gingerroot, honey, lemon, apple cider vinegar and tea.

@@TheDressmakersCloset buy fresh gingerroot. Place in boiling water for 10 minutes. When water is cooled clean the roots and reduce to small pieces. Place in small food processor and macerate. Store in jar with honey in frig. Make tea with lemon juice, the ginger honey, organic apple cider vinegar and any tea. You will find it very strong and delicious.

Did you plan for electrical outlets for the machines? Slide pc of cardboard under objects, helps them slide easier. I move stuff around a lot and also borrow hubby's Dolly when he isn't available

I recently moved my cutting table similar to how you did. It's great being able to walk around a three sides to cut fabric, especially the slippery ones. I won't promise that I won't move my room around again, because it reinvigorates the sewjo. However, the cutting table is staying as is!😉

Well done you, your room looks very organised with everything to hand. I’ve just spent most of this afternoon reorganising my sewing room. My son has built me a cutting table with storage underneath and it’s on castors so I can bring it into the middle of the room for cutting out, then push it out of the way once I’ve finished. It’s a game changer isn’t it? 😊

Well done Jayne last week I moved from the small bedroom to the larger one and I had my husband to help me ( as a matter of fact he did most of the work) we moved bunk beds and wardrobes but it’s finely done. I still have lots of sorting to do my mine thing is left over fabric seems a shame bin it but not really enough to make anything. Well done great job 👏
