Marie, I want you to know that I have been sewing for years, but I always learn something new from watching you. You are fantastic. Please keep doing what your doing. Love your videos.

The pleats and the wide hem on the sleeves makes it look like it has a cuff without having to make a cuff. I like the pattern overall. The yolk and pleat in the back is like a shirt or blouse and yet it is also a tunic. Very nice and flattering as well as comfortable. Your painting gives it that extra something.

I’m thinking this solid blue blouse is the perfect one for some lovely machine embroidery designs, but that’s just me.😊 Your painted designs are so cute! That seems like it will be a nice sturdy blouse for your many tasks, but could go out and about as well.😉 Thanks for sharing your lovely work 🎉

Really loved your addition of the flowers. I like the way that you made them slightly asymmetrical. I was thinking that they would be pretty extended up just a little farther on the shoulders and on the cuffs, & maybe on the back of the yoke, but then when you modeled it, I see that more embellishment (other than on the cuffs) would have been covered by your beautiful hair and it would be pointless. The top was very flattering and the flowers were just exactly the right touch on that expanse of blue. Your videos are always a treat to watch and I can always count on you to add to my knowledge & sewing savvy.

Goodness Marie, it’s surprises me how often we pick the same patterns to make I love that top, it’s so comfortable and easy to wear Have two for winter, pyjama tops One in a liberty Cotton for tidy One in a lightweight lawn as a sun shield in the garden I was asked to make one for a friend in a really cool stripe - that was fun and looked great on her And now I’m just about to make it ‘again’ in an apricot rayon for my daughter to wear with jeans It is so versatile and easy, but still an interesting pattern I enjoyed seeing what you did with yours and the painting that’s pretty neat Till next Friday hope you have a great week. See you then

It's adorable! The electric blue is sumptuous, and the painting around the neckline is the perfect finishing touch 👌 I'm not confident with painting fabric, so I'd have used a ribbon or lace trim, but the general concept is the same. Beautiful! 😍

When you finish your seams with the serger how many needles do you use. I just got my first serger now I feel like a grown up seamstress.
@katemarlor181610 ай бұрын
I bought my first Serger last year. It uses 2 needles and four threads. Happy serging!
@mybucoliclife9 ай бұрын
I use only one needle. The one closer to the blade. It makes a more narrow serge stitch that way.

Very good sewing techniques. Is it possible for you to have more light in your sewing room? The video was a bit dark for me to see.

I sew at a quarter inch, so I can't clip into my pieces. I've never been able to get myself to sew at a larger seam allowance because it feels like waisting fabric. Haven't had anything fall apart since I started felling seams in the 90's

Love the addition of the fabric paint. I have a question if you would please answer this for me. Why do you search your edges before Sewing? Do you not use your surgery for your edges and seam in one is this just a preference you have.
@mybucoliclife9 ай бұрын
I like to press my seam allowances open, and it is much easier to fix things this way. But you do you!
