Yay! An aussie on KZbin! And she sews! So glad I found you, I’m just in the mood to sort out my sewing room and I’m intrigued by your 5S system. It sounds like it is a balanced way of getting some organisation happening. I’m going to watch the rest of the video and make a start, so thank you for the inspiration and motivation.

Love this!! I have a rather GROWING collection of vintage fabrics in addition to my regular fabrics. I have everything sorted and in bins, but this inspired me to bite the bullet and clean out some of the other spaces in this room to make it more functional. So much is just getting rid of stuff that doesn't serve me or our family any more! So thanks for the inspiration!

I feel so much better about getting rid of unusable clothing and fabric now. There are other companies but that was the one I have actually used.

Well done. A small space needs super organising to work well. My problem is a HUGE workspace, which means a lot more clutter. I have started on it just yesterday (timing) by removing a large pile of stuff I know will not be used anytime. (Previous large project that was cancelled). Now to do much as you have. I am going to purchase a bunch of laundry baskets to contain the clutter and to organise into useable, findable groupings. I prefer open shelves, as if I cannot easily see 'it' I most likely go buy 'it' again.... I will also start a 'shelving list' to help me remember where things go. BTW, have you considered a rag rug from your worn clothes and scraps? Good work, you Sally from Victoria

Hi sally! Thank you :) I do struggle to keep things organised in such a small space, but I reckon a huge workspace like what you have would be much harder! I like open shelves too! I can display pretty things but also the stuff I need is visible/accessible. A rag rug is a great idea!!! My mum started one years ago that remains unfinished… perhaps I can help her finish hers by adding to it :) thanks for the suggestion! ☺️
