I have tried Crochet a few year ago and couldn’t get it. Now I’m hooked😂 I found a good KZbin tutorial and a friend showed me the other weekend when we were camping. I can’t believe I can now Crochet as it always looked so complicated. I love your content.

Loving these vlogs. None of my friends sew, so it’s nice to be part of these chats. Love the ideas for using remnants too. I crocheted a jumper last year and loved it. Definitely going to do more. Also knit, but only square things, as I’m terrible at row counting!

I’m loving the bee and chatting with you after! On the plus side of zero waste trousers, if you are on the larger side, they work really well, I have made a similar pattern but added pleats and other details, they are my favourite trousers to wear. Also I find I don’t need to buy so much fabric for zero waste, I can get a pair of trousers from 2 m or a bit less (I’m only 5’2”) whereas most patterns need 2.5 m or more for the larger sizes. I can crochet and loved the idea of using crochet blankets, I have some old tablecloths with lots of crochet lace on them and want to make something a bit like Chloe’s jacket, just got to work out where I can cut it! Also cotton crochet dyes really well so I will be dyeing it first!

Oooh love the idea of dying the cotton crochet, that would really transform the whole thing. Good point about the trousers but yes we were thinking some pleats or more interesting leg shape would make them a bit more interesting 😃

My friend makes crochet blankets and was slightly traumatised by seeing them cut into. 😂

Oh I bet, with the amount of time it takes to make one 😰

I learnt to crochet several years before sewing. I could have cried watching them cut into those blankets 😢 the hours of work that goes into crocheting a blanket that could still have been used 😢😢

As usual, I’ve loved this chat. I’m with Alma, I would make a tote bag out of a dress rather than the other way around. As for that knitting term of cutting it, it’s called steeking. edited to add, I can knit but not crochet.

steeking! Thank you, it was on the tip of Chloe's tongue 😄

I think you are talking about steeking when cutting knitting.

I can crochet and loved seeing what the bees made in the made to measure challenge. I did struggle slightly watching the bees cut into the blankets. 🫣
