Excellent hacks ladies. I wonder if you, Alma , could have used the Ultimate shift dress top for your hack. I made this a few times years ago and a very similar shape. I like the way you put the ties down the front like the new Fleur pattern and the Nell pattern. The demonstration of your toile was very useful Rosie and a lovely shirt.I really should make toiles more often. I really like Jemima’s ‘lulu’ top hack but have only got the Eve and lulu pattern. Hacking patterns is the way forward, rather than keep buying more.😉

Alma, is the issue you have with sleeveless patterns due to having a bigger bust? A bit of a strange question but as a size 10 with a larger bust, I often run into fit issues in the armhole/bust as well. I'm wondering if I even dare attempt to do this hack 😅

Hello! Initially I did think it was a bust issue but I tried an FBA on a different cami top and it was completely off, turns out I am actually a dressmaking B cup, which most patterns are drafted for. It's a big old mystery but I think this new technique of just toiling and pinching fabric away is my way to work around the excess fabric 😊

@@SewOverIt thanks for explaining! I wondered, because I know from experience that a lot of issues can arise if your bust is slightly disproportionate to your frame. So happy you found a fix to the problem 🤍
