I just started this week, this is a cool moment for me. The beginning where I am, the middle where you are, and the pro-tips end where Laura lives - all working towards the same direction with our work. I ws taught to sew a line of stitches just inside the seam allowance on both sides where the opening is to be. A.k.a stay stitching. This controls stretching of the fabric, makes turning easier and neater. Stitching should be removed but I usually leave it.
