Thank you. A very timely discussion. Specially Sri Lankans arent aware of these subtle biological differences. If you can please do another video on this subject it will help many. Thank you Professor. 🙏🏻
Hi Ruchira, kind request.. we would like to request, present your videos in English medium too. if possible...its help for a lots of our kids around the world 😊
Thank you Doctor. Its a great topic for enforcing to our society. Because in sri lankan culture see this as a terrible thing. But it is a psychological need and a acceptable thing as a human being and a natural principle. So the undeveloped cultures are nourished by traditional practices, not by the science. So people are afraid of living in these types of cultures. So your explanation is helpful them to change their paradigms. 🙏
Hi doctor first of all my respect and salute for you, and as you said I also did same as you did in your childhood, yes when I was became an adult I felt how awkward my childhood behaviors regarding that incident. Thank you for your positive contribution to our society as always ❤️
Children need to be educated regarding masculinity and toxic masculinity. Waiting for a that kind of video.

This! Kids need to be taught how the "boys will be boys" and "men will be men" mentality of most Sri Lankans is toxic. They need to be taught from a very young age to respect and treat girls and boys equally.

@@groundzero5708 did you really just ask if women are treated differently in the world?! Like most other girls/women, I have also been treated differently, harassed, etc in Sri Lanka and to a lesser extent in England (where I live now). Sexism and toxic masculinity exist in every country. I'm not the type to say "all men are evil" because they are not but boys in every country need to be taught from a young age to respect women and treat everyone equally
Thank you very much, sir, for making us aware of sex, gender and gender orientation. What's your idea about the culturally prescribed gender role that has to be played by each individual in society?

Another great video sir. When you say that story I also felt same as how me, and my friends used to bully those friends of us. But in the meantime, I came to an understanding about certain things that anyone cannot change, and this is one of them. And then I started to empathize those people and to treat them same. And this will be a good eye opener for the upcoming generations who are going to be exposed into the society full of controversial discussions regarding these facts.
You are the guiding light for most of us sir. Respect ❤

Important topic, as usual with your videos it's complete with updates & most of our society doesn't aware nor dare to talk about. [ Yes, most of us still in the stage of that "Ruchira Wijesena" was in his school days.] The combination senario reminds me the concept use in logic gates - all the possible connections between two events A & B. that's AB, AA, BB, A invB ,B invA ..... When we consider our genes as the information carriers situation become more hilarious. We should always broaden our mind to avoid the narrow minded conclusions that stem from our reluctance to accept changes in the world & in a everything ever changing Universe.

Thanks a lot for stepping up to shedding some light to a darker area generally cited as a taboo in many societies. This will definitely help the Sri Lankan society to start understanding and accepting the LGBTQIA+ community.
