Soderbergh is a fascinating director. Wildly successful for his Ocean's Trilogy, but his most legendary films are odd pieces like sex, lies, and videotape, Kafka, or Che. I loved Unsane, but it's so crazy to think this director also did the laser dance sequence in Ocean's Twelve.

Soderbergh perfected the art of one for them, one for me. He does what he wants with indie experiments in between delivering hits (TWO trilogies now with Magic Mike and Oceans). Really living the life and keeping his audience on their toes

Loved this episode! For Scene It: The Frighteners - The fantastical tale of Michael J. Fox leading a team of ghosts in a haunted house scam before being forced to solve an actual spooky mystery is well and truly underrated. Plus it’s interesting seeing Peter Jackson (Pre-LOTR) doing his riff on a Spielberg or Zemeckis film - though I’m unsure how intentional that was considering the studio’s interference in the production. Another film, Dog Soldiers (2002). Takes the ‘defend the house from hordes of angry monsters’ format and gives you characters worth investing in and some spectacular werewolf action. One of the horror genre’s more overlooked films. Hoping to hear your thoughts on these, but either way I love WTTB and every laugh and poignant thought it has provided me since I began watching over a decade ago! Thanks a bunch team

Seen It? “Charly”(1968) Based on Daniel Keye’s short story; “Flowers for Algernon”, this flick has stuck with me ever since watching it in my high school English class. Full of that classic 60’s pessimism, it’s a great watch when you just gotta cry. Also see-saws. And thank you all at Blamesociety for making the funnies and bringing some joy and comfort to our screens and stages for all these years.

I don't know if this going to make sense but this movie feels like a Japanese novel to me. There's not really a beginning or an ending, you just step into these people's lives at a certain point, follow this season of their life, and then step back out again. Definitely feels akin to novels like Life For Sale by Yukio Mishima and Out by Natsuo Kirino.

His performance blew me away. Coraline (you might have already discussed this during a cartoon June but I can’t remember) Napoleon Dynamite (this is a wild card but I didn’t get it when it first came out, and now looking back I realize it’s because I grew up in California and not the midwest) Just doing my part to help bulk up your list! To think there would be a day when you would run out of Seen Its! Regardless... Have you seen 'The Draughtman's Contract' (1982), directed by Peter Greenaway? It is a great setting (i.e. location-centred) film, and does a fantastic job of balancing the fast and vibrant with the highly rehearsed and stylised. Its a strangely relaxing watch, despite its subject matter. It also features one of my favourite lines of dialogue in film, with one character declaring "Your speech, Louis, is becoming meteorological!" If you haven't seen it, it could serve as the focus of an episode. It is under two hours.

Seen it? "Stan and Ollie" starring John C. Riley and Steve Coogan, personally I feel like both leads did a fantastic job portraying the legendary comedic duo. Another one for seen it, "The Simpsons Movie." While I fully admire the film on the whole doesn't completely measure up to the show's golden age, it was a hell of a lot better than the new episodes they were making at the time. Also curious if you guys ever saw "The Bob's Burgers Movie?" Oh and one more, I know that Matt is also a fan of W.C. Fields, so I wonder if you've ever seen "Man on the Flying Trapeze?" It's my personal favorite of Fields, partly because he plays the only completely likable and sympathetic character in his whole career, and partly because of the hilarious phone call scene at the end between his daughter and his boss. I consider it a must watch for anyone interested in classic comedy.
