Welcome back! Join me in this cozy winter homemaking video where I clean, spend quality time with my children in the snow, make hot chocolate, and have a delightful tea party. Today, I discuss the five lies and myths that can seriously damage a marriage. Discover practical insights and tips to strengthen your relationship and create a harmonious home.
Hot Chocolate Recipe
4 cups milk (I used almond)
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar
¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Place milk, cocoa powder and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium/medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until warm (but not boiling). Add chocolate chips and whisk constantly until the chocolate chips melt and distribute evenly into the milk. Whisk in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt (if desired), serve immediately.

I loved this video. Such a great reminder of wholesome core values, whether religious based or not. I personally don’t put my children before my marriage or vice versa, as I believe in balance. I agree that we must not give our spouses the responsibility for our happiness, but to love and to cherish means exactly that, and happiness stems from trust, respect etc. Your partner must keep making the effort. Physicality is important, I agree. Intimacy isn’t just to produce children and partners must not be punished or made to feel guilty about wanting regular intimacy. I hear of so many women neglecting their husband’s which is unfair after they have committed to them. I also think the gender roles can be more balanced, so that everyone is happy and the burden not laid on one person to do the lion’s share of the work.

Hi Anna, hi everyone! This was wonderfully explained 😊 While I was listening to your message I thought about an exemple😊 of something that will undeniably destroy a marriage. I guess we could put it in the “secret” category: talking poorly about the spouse with others while he/she is not around…. It creates a bad atmosphere and nourishes bitterness. The devil sees it like an opportunity to set the couple apart using family members or friends to maintain discontentment leading sometimes to adultery/divorce. We must pray and fast more than ever for our couple and be intentional while taking care of our marriage because the enemy works 24/7 to destroy it. Also, through a godly marriage, God is glorified and it is a living testimony for others of the love between the Lord and his church. Some people have given their life to Jesus seeing what he had done in their parents’ marriage 🥹 Be blessed sisters in Christ ❤ Anna your daughter made me laugh while serving tea 🫖 with such elegance ❤ what a lovely young girl 🥰

thank you, I'm praying for my marriage to be reunited but it's a parallel life as you mentioned. we might be pregnant (not sure yet) and it's a tough time to both be expectant of a new life and gift, as well as struggling to connect as a couple in the way of living together in unity may God bless all marriages according to his will and may he truly be the one bringing people together!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9

Hi Anna This verse 1 Corinthians 7:9 meaning was changed in the newer translations, the literal translation and king james translation say “Burn” the new translations say “Burn with passion”. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬ “But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.”

Quite an informative video. Great tour of the laundry and nice T set. 😊. Secrets. I love lingerie and was very honest about it. So sad our world lacks women who actually dress feminine or are even domestic. I have to wear the pants and panties but I don't mind. 😂 Hopefully eventually I'll find such a woman. 😂

For a good counselor you'll pay through the nose and by the same token, the vast majority of counselors around are absolutely not worth their salt. Good that I don't need one lol, but I made an appointment with a psychiatrist to get some happy pills, I know Jesus should be enough lol, but some little extra can be really nice every now and then.

If you want to follow Jesus take up your cross. If you do that then you follow what the Bible says even when your spouse fails to live up to God's instructions. So when a wife says no to sex every night of the week for months even though the Bible says she can never say no, you do what you are to do anyhow. I did get married so I could have sex because I was trying to be a good Christian guy. So when that got shut down I had to get past a lot of hate, anger and frustration at my wife and at God for giving me this Christian woman. Take up your cross is the only real answer.

I’ve been married 30 years and completely disagree with you saying kids aren’t the priority, they absolutely are THE priority. My wife and I completely agree on this that no matter what, our kids come first. It really is that simple. A huge part of what is wrong with society today is that parents don’t prioritize their children. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say how happy they are that the school year is starting again and they can’t wait for the kids to go back to school! What an absolutely selfish statement, why have kids at all if that’s how you feel.
@AnnaDysett
@AnnaDysett 10 күн бұрын
I think you maybe misunderstood. I said that you shouldn’t put your kids above your marriage. Not that your kids shouldn’t be one of your very top priorities. If you ACTUALLY love your kids, you will put your marriage first. The enemy wants to destroy marriages which destroys children’s lives.

I have been married 34 years and have one grandchild so far. I think the biblical perspective, the healthy perspective, is that we are given children in our marriage because God wants us to raise them up in the Lord…so that when they are adults, then they will fly from our nest and be strong enough and wise enough to be the heads of their own healthy, godly, independent families. We raise them to FLY! God doesn’t call us to parent them forever, in the sense that they are the “top priority.” They move on, still in our lives, but certainly not the center of it. The only one who stays our entire lives is God…then, hopefully our spouse stays with us until death do us part. But even the Bible says a man is to leave his father’s home and cleave unto his wife, the two becoming one flesh. I’m sure you have done a fabulous job raising your kids and being a good influence on your grandchildren. But God has called each and every one of us to several things in our lives, quite multifaceted, the utmost top relationship being that of your own personal relationship with God, then with your spouse, then your family. That doesn’t mean you neglect your children, it just means you see it as an assignment to be completed so they can fly the nest and have beautiful families as well. It’s a blessing!

@@AnnaDysett You can have a strong marriage and still put your kids first, my wife and I are living proof. Both my kids have said they hope to have a marriage like their mom and dad have someday. I understand what you are saying but it’s not a spouse above children thing, it’s how you raise your kids while showing them you love your spouse along the way. We can agree to disagree, God bless 🙏
