Lol! You completely omit women’s emotional nature which drives how you perceive things. The absolute quickest way for anyone to kill a marriage aside from abuse is to withhold sex which is a form of abuse unless caused by medical condition or abuse of some kind.

But “starting in on her” will definitely kill any desire to be intimate with you. If she works full time and has to come home and do housework, laundry, homework, and running the kids to practices and games, she’s exhausted and that kills libido in women too. Often, we go ahead and accommodate our husband’s needs, but honestly, we’re too tired to get much out of it. I think 9 out of 10 women would say they’d much rather sleep. The child rearing years are straight up brutal. Couple need regular date nights, regular talks w/o accusations and getting all defensive, and negotiating different needs. Counseling if you can’t talk without getting angry. I hope you do these things. They aren’t optional if you want to have a happy marriage. If she’s on her phone have the night, she has the energy to be intimate. Just saying. Withholding is straight up wrong. So is starting in on her. Good luck!

If I bring up sex to my husband he literally thinks I just want him for that reason, even though I've never held back my physical affection from him (more than a few hours at most, and that rarely happens) and I give him respect and we used to talk every single day, sometimes for hrs, but he recently stopped responding to me when I tried to tell him about my day, or initiate a conversation with him... So I'm stuck. Can't talk to him about anything anymore. Our 1 yr anniversary is this month. 😮‍💨😢 He compliments me frequently but it feels fake because he doesn't try to have sex with me or even bring it up. I don't think he really even wants to have sex with me anymore, and I don't think he find be attractive any more. Our relationship went down hill like a snowball the past 3 months.

Jimmy Evans explains that statistic in other videos; He says women need sacrifice, and men need honor. That’s why doing chores and other things that support her when you don’t have the time, energy, or interest to do them is a way to value her and thereby stimulate her sexually. So he is saying that even married couples are to maintain purity, and that means not committing adultery. Christ said in the Bible if you look at a woman to lust after her (in your thoughts, fantasizing), you might well have committed adultery against your spouse with them. So that’s ruled out, that fantasy. I think with Batman, he was being sarcastic and saying yes for the couple, you are permitted under God to explore one another. Stop limiting yourselves essentially. I don’t think he was directly referring to role play but if that’s what you and your spouse want to explore as well, then by all means. I hope this helps :)

Not one Idea? My wife suffered greatly thru years of sexual abuse in grade school. She forgave him and stood by him as he went thru some very difficult times in his own life. But that changed NOTHING in how she viewed sex. (hated it) I have been living with the aftermath for over 40 years. I know EXACTLY what I am talking about. Of course it does not just go away. But going thru the process of counseling and therapy (which many say is needed after many kinds of abuse) is extremely painful. Why should she have to do that?

@@davidwaggoner5901 I can answer that… Counseling helps a person deal with the after effects forgiveness doesn’t take care of. There are things we think and feel after abuse that seem permanent-like sex is disgusting, men’s genitals are revolting, certain acts trigger trauma all over again-there’s quite a list going on in the psyche of someone abused. It’s almost impossible to not feel loathing about sex, especially after the newness of a relationship wanes and the husband becomes grouchy before sex, or has become bored and wants more adventure in the bedroom. This makes the wife feel she needs to perform…again…which triggers feeling used and abused…all over again every time. With time, counseling helps the wife process the difference between sex and making love. Both should attend counseling so the husband can learn words and actions to avoid, and how to remember his critical role in helping her feel safe, cherished, and truly loved. Same thing for the wife if the husband was the one abused. Counseling helps the couple gain healthier perspectives of sex, and reduces disappointment from unmet expectations, as well as anxiety as bedtime draws near.

The abuse was also coupled with her mother teaching her that all sex is the invention of the devil and God hates every part of it. I see very little gain from addressing all of that stuff; it is putting her thru a lot of pain just so I can have my jollies. That is beyond selfish on my part.

Hey brother, I felt that way too and still struggle with that concept. This is most likely due to a few things that may have happened in your early life. Like being around people who are legalistic or super religious and treat it as something that is evil. Having a family who is very prude and never discussed sex to you in a healthy and biblical way or they made it feel like a shameful and disgusting act. That sex was ONLY for having babies and anything beyond that is sinful and shameful. It could also be a lack of sex education. Most parents don't explain this to their children because it is a bit embarrassing and they think their children will become promiscuous. When in reality they are growing and by the time they reach puberty they are already aware of these new feelings and they are already curious and they end up learning from other kids or worse they end up turning to pornography out of their curiosity and they get the wrong idea about what sex is supposed to be. When the time is right they need to be sat down and explained that their bodies are going through changes (show them a medical graph and if they are a boy or girl explain to them what will take place as they go through these changes) Then they need to be told about when men and women get together and decide to get married that is when God wants that couple to enjoy sex and also to have children. You don't have to be nasty but just tell them plainly what happens and that it's ok between a husband and wife because if they have a baby both parents will be present and that child will grow up in a healthy environment. That way they won't be curious. They know what it's for & the appropriate time and they have the right view of sex. It's not dirty nasty or forbidden. It just has it's time and place. Hope you can see this too and that you can have a wife (if you don't already) and enjoy all the blessings of sex and marriage God planned for you. God bless brother.

I have a question. Why do people still have sex? Sex is very gross, nasty, messy, and disgusting! I don't see how sex is a good thing. Why don't humans just remove sex from this world? Women can still get pregnant without sex (there's a lot of ways women can get pregnant without sex including artificial insemination).
