Yes: autistic and asexual. And utterly fed up with people who jump into a discussion that isn't about them or for them, which has nothing whatsoever to do with them, which does them no harm, but where they feel compelled to be hateful, derogatory, infantilising, obnoxious, and/or just plain rude. To those in the video who shared their thoughts and experiences, thank you. To Paul, well done.

I'm kinda shocked by how negative the comments are under this video. I'm queer and autistic. I live in a rural area, so I don't really have a community on either, especially because I was in my 20s when I figured out I'm demi-bisexual, in my 30s when I accepted I'm somewhere on the nonbinary spectrum, and in my early 40s, I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. It has been great to find a community online to talk about these things, and it's great to see how we all, allover the world, struggle and find joy in getting to terms with our true selves. Thank you for making this video.

@@wormwoodcocktail No. I won't stop. A lot of gay, lesbians, and bi people wouldn't have the rights we have now if it wasn't also for trans activists. Their roles have been important and pivotal to LGBT rights. And even disregarding that, they have the right to live their lives like anyone else.

Well golly gee, maybe we shouldn't try to put people who are fighting for the same exact thing against each other. Trans people share a history with gay, bi, and lesbian people. Trans people were just written of as gay all the time. But you seem to forget history to push hate. Also, some trans people are gay. Some are bi. Are they somehow not part of the community now? You wanna know who is the next target if transphobes force trans people to hide or be killed? Gay people. How do I know this? Because that's exactly what happened in history. If you stand for gay rights, you can't get mad when people want rights. Or are you one of those people who think gay people should just blend in. It's delusional to think that trans, queer, ace, 2-spirited people, and intersex people aren't fighting on the same side as gay, bi, and lesbian.

Every time when neuro-divergence and sexuality is combined in one talk, each and every time it leaves one point absent from it; increased need or want for sex, The talking points always revolves around different sexualities and the closest to the 'amount of sex' ever mentioned is always strictly limited to asexuality. I don't know if this reflects the statistical reality, but I really feel to be the odd-one out even among other spectrals in that my sexual need are higher than your average non-asexual/allosexual and certainly much higher than among my spectral peers. Why nobody talks about it? Is it still a strict taboo to talk about it or what is the matter? I am 100% certain I'm not the only one with this variety of sexuality as it is statistically near impossible for me to be a one-of-a-kind, but I still haven't seen a single person talking about it. Couldn't even find a term to describe this. And no, it's not sex addiction either. And to attempt to make things more clear, here's some need to know context for my comment: I'm not talking just physical needs. I'm talking about the sex and sexuality in their broadest definition. For me, I'm somewhere between fluid and demi. This lack of information really frustrates me

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and feelings, much appreciated! A year ago I would have called myself NT cishet, just a bit weird. I have since figured out I'm autistic (lots of people had already spotted that). Then I wondered why I used the same phrase, "just a bit weird", for both my thinking and my sexuality. My queer daughter came to my rescue and suggested I look into demisexuality, which does actually fit me better. So I'm double rainbow, but barely; I still feel more comfortable thinking of myself as a heterosexual-ish ally. That may change, though.

The correlation between autism & gender dysphoria is well established in medical research. But, to portray it as a matter of social convenience does a disservice to BOTH communities. Just as nobody chooses to be autistic, nobody chooses to be gender dysphoric. And, BOTH conditions make surviving and flourishing in this world more difficult and less likely to happen.
@YesBruv1053 ай бұрын
I think a lot of people are indoctrinated in gender dysphoria to be honest. Unless one is sexist or homophobic why would one care what sex their body is when they have been gifted a life. How can people know what it is like to be a woman, for eexample... I am a woman and I only know what it is like to be me. Trans ideology has targeted gay and Autistic people resulting in them being sterilised and castrated, then soon regretting it. It is horrific. See Cass report and Wpath files. I think genuine gender dysphoria belongs to intersex / people with DSDs. Trans ideology has fantasised this condition as their own, like some kind of Munchausen syndrome..

For folks who keep active even lower, online sharing says more doable than you would think. I have a terrible robbed childhood tragedy about it, from growing up before the web in a region with a nasally irritating catarrhal climate that causes symptoms like a persistent cold, South Wales, site "generation missed knowing year round shorts".

I have issue with this because i dont want to be lumped into "gender identity". Its a neurological thing, not a gender thing. If it overlaps yeah i get it , theres overlap with many things. But these should be seperate. There is probably an overlap because we generally feel alien, just accept yourself, get therapy if you need too and move along with your life. Gender should not be someones whole personality! (Im currently in therapy to accept myself better, and not give a damn so much about what others think and these social issues)

Both conditions are “neurologic” - although the cause likely differs. I think many autistics find their bodies uncomfortable and escape into gender dysphoria. And: I am not sure it is possible for an autistic, gender dysphoric person to “accept themselves” (meaning approving of their conditions). I think it is more productive to find ways to exist comfortably in society. But the neurodivergent community derides that as “masking”.

Professional trans women athletes are extremely rare. In fact, trans athletes have been allowed to openly compete in the Olympics since 2003, and yet no trans woman athlete has ever gone to the Olympics. Also, policing trans women from not being able to participate may effect non-trans women too. Just like how it did with the bathroom ban. Some women with masculine features have been harassed despite not being trans. That and invasive testing could happen of such a thing were to pass.
