I think I just heard the Blue Oyster music from the Police Academy movies in the Red Light District stage. Parodius has so many well known music that is so spazed up I love listening to it.

The entire series uses classical music, remixed with tunes from Konami shoot em ups mixed in for good measure, and given a dash of goofiness to round out the package. The whole series is great.

I noticed a lot of borrowed music scores such as first stage theme from thunder cross 2, many of the original lemmings bgms such as turkish march and can can. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing them on this game....

Let’s sign a petition to convince Konami to release all 4 parodius games in a game compilation worldwide with localization for many languages for the Switch, PS4, and hopefully Xbox One as well. There should be an option to play the PS1, or the Sega Saturn version.

I imported the psp collection of the series, how do you get that bonus level between stage 3 and 4? I completed the 2 collecting missions in the previous levels. Is it score related? It might have just been cut but I doubt it, its a Cero C rated. Still damn cool games. Edit: Never mind, apparently can pop up at the end of different levels. Or on the psp version you might have to beat the game to unlock it. Whatever its still there and that was all I kind of wanted to know.

If you're talking about the boss rush stage, that appears randomly starting after stage 2. It can appear after stage 2, 3, 4, and I believe 5.
