I remember when I first played Hot Rails around '86. I went nuts over them, bought a used strat off the wall of the guitar shop where I had tried them, and had one installed in the bridge. Totally awesome tone!

Boy George, Flock of Seagulls, Wham!, New Kids on the Block, Warrant, Poison, Great White, Mr. Big, Madonna... outside of GNR and Metallica, that decade sucked harder than a hooker at the Playboy Mansion. The early to mid-90's was far better. Probably the best period for music since the late 60's and 70's.

Hi. I'm in the process of converting my Fender Player HSS Stratocaster (alder body, maple neck and ebony fingerboard) into something like a Strat for playing heavy riffs. I bought a Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker for the bridge, but I have a dilemma about the other two - whether to buy 2 Hot Rials or is it better to have one Hot Rials and one Cool Rials? I put the same pickup on my aria pro ii strat copy. sounds exactly the same. I paired it with a Duncan YJM fury bridge pickup and kept the middle stock pickup. They match well. I thin the hot rails sounds like a dimarzio paf pro and X2n combined.
