Hopefully. But it said the community was raising funds to get those security cams. Based on the one image, it looks like they were trying to get cameras for as many homes as possible. It looked like a Ring camera, which Amazon owns. If you don’t have them, it still shouldn’t come as a surprise that their functions are limited unless you subscribe to a service. I have a couple but misplaced the charger for the batteries. A good thing is if you haven’t accessed your account in a while, you are locked out and must call Amazon’s Ring CS to regain access. Which I’ll do once I find the damn charger. But as I recall, one of the limits is on saved recordings of activity. The descriptions of the cameras was - also not surprising - less than transparent about this fact. Hopefully, they had the time to purchase, install, and set up their Ring accounts & subscribed so they will have that footage.

I was surprised at how small SF is when I visited. I guess a lot of other suburbs broke off over the years, making their own cities. My BF at the time, who grew up in NoCal, was grinning ear to ear when he announced that we were about to cross into SF. Barely 5 minutes later and stopping at one red light (he was surprised that we made several green ones), he announces with a grin, "leaving San Francisco!". I was like, no way! THAT small stretch was SF? 😂 There are stop lights at every 1/8th mile it seems. So it could take longer for fire engine to make it to his house, than it was for him to run or ride his bike there. Also, traffic is messed up there. No one moves for emergency vehicles. I almost thought I was in NYC.
