That’s what I was going to say. He already seemed in a pissy mood probably cause the trail was busy with people or maybe feels entitled like people shouldn’t even be on the trails to begin with let alone kids (I can see for safety reasons if a lot of injuries were occurring between both but otherwise find somewhere else to ride if there’s too much foot traffic). I’m glad the kid wasn’t run over by the bike at all or directly struck. Next time give your kid to your friend, I guess I don’t know the distance of everything & how quickly it happened but I would be backing up w/my child out of their swing range, that guy looked bigger/long limbs.

The driver could not have seen the little tike till he was up in the air. Hurts my heart for all them even still and many have already past away. Dad was out of the car, the truck driver out too and could not stop running around in circles and no one could stop him. I hope to never be him, though I almost was: with a neighbor's dog, jumped off the bank into the middle of my Mom's car I was driving on the road behind our houses. The dog just laid there. I pulled in our drive and went to their door just beside us to tell them. As they got to the door up came that little dog running and wagging his tail. My Parents from as long as I can remember NEVER missed a teaching opportunity usually it was about other peoples "Kids" They LOVED us and wanted us to LIVE and For us to NOT take other's lives and Rights.

Eventually as we were getting into yelling at each other he calmed down after a couple minutes, apologized and left. If the cyclist is willing to respond to a 3 year old child like this, imagine how he treats adults on a daily basis. Children are innocent. It was an honest mistake on the child’s part. Children don’t process their behavior and mistakes like an adult. The cyclist should have behaved like an adult and shown the child some compassion and understanding. Apparently he’s the child needing guidance to deal with the world. One should wonder his reaction if he was utilizing another form of transportation. That’s concerning.
