This not being told to west side residents. City plans to close all egresses onto streets off Lincoln Ave. and Sloat Blvd. from 35th to the beach. This is to force through traffic onto 35th. for travel north and south, not only that, all those who live West of 35th. between Sloat Blvd. and Lincoln Ave will only be able to egress from 35th. Folks who live in the now effected area, plans to do this were drafted years back, it was always the plan, nothing new here! There goes the real estate values. What will also happen is, more parking will be needed and pushed into the residential areas. Never would I even entertain purchasing a home in this area. Real estate values will take a hit and or stagnant! Terrible decision to do this. To harm so many homeowners. All homeowners should eventually file for property tax reductions due to the harm this will surely cause! 😮 With a city counsel member representing the district like he is, who needs enemies! 😮

I use to drive Uber, that was the fastest way to go from Richmond/Marina and other northern and western parts to the South Bay, Pacifia, Daly City, etc during traffic hours. It’s a nightmare to take the small streets, 19th, Lincoln or other routes. It’s a semi-highway for a reason. San Francisco voters are bunch of kids that act only on emotions…

So, let's understand this: The city now closes the Great Highway to make a park, this because of cost to constantly removing sand heaving blown on the highway. So, how will the city now remove all the sand from the park, from around these picnic tables, walking paths that will still be blowing about. What has happened here stinks of political corruption at its worst. Corruption with money going to who? The city to build a park, spend what, a hundred million dollars for a park to be quickly buried under sand! Does make any sense to anyone? Sand in a matter of months, will be burying a hundred million dollars and more never to be found, going into the pockets of who? 😮

No kidding. Just as the rest of this election has shown, people are just getting stupider. They only think of themselves and the utopian bubble that the far-left progressives propaganda spread. It will be so expensive to maintain because they have to use more EXPENSIVE MANUAL labor to scoop out the sand, where now, all they need to do is run a tractor or a plow (like a snowplow) along the road to move the sand off the road. Can't do that with benches and stuff in the way!

Where are they getting the money for this? The highway helped ease transportation got state funding to keep a good barrier up for the city and had nice bike and walking paths on either side. These elite people are killing the San Francisco working class

They can use the nearly one million dollars that the city was spending annually to keep all the sand cleared off the highway.
@puffpuffin13 күн бұрын
@@selanryn5849 They are going to spend more than one million dollars to keep all the sand off the new park because of all the benches and other furniture they are proposing. Use your thinking cap dum****.

The ocean is eroding that part of the highway anyways, building a park that everyone from the city can enjoy by the beach, not just for the residents that live by the great highway plus it will bring more business to those small businesses in that area.
@puffpuffin13 күн бұрын
No it's not. Only the part south of Sloat is eroding into the ocean.
@visualpun650Күн бұрын
Puffpuffin is correct. No erosion problem on that part. Just the section south of Sloat has that issue.
