I was once thinking in last year that Lin Dan had a chance to capture third Olympic Gold in Tokyo 2020 when Lin Dan won the Malaysia Open 2019. With Momota's latest form, I don't think LD will even make it to the Tokyo Olympic 2020, let alone winning it. Momota's while not superior in his attacks compared to the young prime Lin Dan, his control of shots in all 6 corners, court coverage, pace and almost everything except smash, is on well-balanced positions and high accuracy. Not a big fan of any player who relies more on defensive shots and control shots than attacking, but Momota's precision and consistency are to be admired.

​@@abdxd3033 you should watch Ginting vs Momota. Momota won most of times. Shi yuqi or Ginting can up the pace in 1 or 2 sets but when it comes to 3rd set, they can't maintain it. Especially in the last 10 points of the deciding set, it's Momota, among those ones who have the strongest stamina and mentality, up the pace with high precision. How many times you see Momota lose in 3rd set?

So sánh không cùng thời điểm đều luôn khó chính xác. Nhưng phải nói là Lindan có nhiều thuận lợi nhờ đồng đội ở tuyển hơn Momota hiện nay rất nhiều. China họ luôn có tuyển mạnh, ít nhất 2,3 người ở Top, gặp ai mạnh không thắng được cũng phá sức cho người sau thắng. Lindan không những giỏi còn rất khôn ngoan, chọn bung sức thành tích những giải lớn. Kento giống LCW hơn, thi đấu tích điểm trong năm rất nhiều. Liên tục vậy thì rất đáng nể. Nếu Momota đạt được ngang thành tích Lindan thì chắc chắn là anh ấy giỏi hơn. Còn hiện tại cứ chờ xem ai cản được Kento
