In this episode, I fly my SF50 Vision Jet from Smyrna, TN (KMQY) to Knoxville, TN (KTYS) for my annual recurrency training and flight check. Come along with me on this 34 minute flight. I'll show you the engine start sequence for the SF50 and you'll hear the turbine spool up during the start process.

Thanks for watching David! This flight happened last August and it was a great time at Cirrus. They have a way of presenting new challenges every training cycle.

I don't know anything about mounting cameras in the cockpit. I am hopefully soon the make a decision in favor of a new VJet. I would love to see videos that focus in on the panel that are close enough to see with better clarity of the info and the button pushing. Clearly it's a different process flow and you are no doubt the expert.

Hi Rick! Thanks for watching!! I have a listing of videos at m.youtube.com/@donav8s/videos. I understand you are interested in more panel shots. There are a spattering of videos on the channel that show different avionics subjects. Here is one of them SF50 Vision Jet - Garmin Perspective Touch Map Elevation Colors (4k Video) kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGSQm2VjpdKfapY. Thanks for watching! Reach out with any questions. Thanks

Great video, I wish the cockpit was a little more clear. Maybe you may want to go to 4K instead, not sure why at 1080 still blurry. Thanks for sharing

The 3 days of training is that mandatory or recommended by Cirrus? Also, before you buy any Cirrus, do you have to attend their tng program before you buy?
@DonAv8s
@DonAv8s 2 жыл бұрын
The three day is the annual recurrent training to maintain your SF50 type rating. The initial type rating is eight days of training and then a check ride. Cirrus jet training is different from the Cirrus piston aircraft training.

Awesome video!! And great flying. How far can you fly with a vision jet? Could you do Miami to NYC?

Thanks for watching. It al depends on the number of passengers and baggage. I can fly two people with bags about 830 miles nonstop with reserve fuel. The plane flys at about 300 miles per hour so after two and a half hours some passengers want to use a restroom anyway. Might as well stop for fuel.

It seems precarious they would locate the engine start/stop in the area of the Pilot control stick. Its hard to find much wrong with such an awesome plane.

They are both on the left side of the cockpit but not that close to one another. They have completely unrelated functions. It’s actually not an actual problem if you were to actually see the cockpit layout.
