This video is gold man. I'm kind of a noob and almost quit learning chun li because of how hard was to land back HP stance cancel consistently but i'm finnaly able to do it most of the time

What's your secret? lol. I can't wrap my head around the stance cancels. It's like you just have to fully commit to a combo without seeing if its connecting.

​@@fatapollo1557need to hold down back after you combo into stance so you can cancel into SBK if you're connecting or kikoken (-6 and leaves you farther away) which is safer if they are blocking

I started Chun learning her on modern. Once that was clicking I decided to try Classic and it made way more sense. Prob never would have played her classic without modern easing me in

This is great. I've been learning a lot of more advanced combos but I still found some useful ideas in here that I hadn't come across before or thought of. I learned a lot, which is true for most of your videos so thanks again! Especially back when I learned Strive, the safe jump stuff was super useful. I was playing as I-no and wasn't finding a good explanation elsewhere. Love your work! A little note for newbies, this guide refers to all supers as CA (CA1 is Super 1, CA2 is Super 2 etc) but SF6 in-game calls them supers. Some games call these Critical Arts but in SF6 a CA is when you do a Super 3 and you have very low health. You'll notice, if you've got your level 3 Super ready to spend, it will show a 3 in the bottom corner by the super bar. If your health goes very low (I think it might be

No Karin in 6, so I have found myself maining Chun for the first time in SF! About damn time. I enjoy her hybrid charge and SBK is easier to connect in this version, plus stance makes her legit. Awesome vid!! 😊

Thank you for including combos without the stances lol. I've always played Chun and there just no way I can grasp this mechanic. I've tried for hours to get a consistent combo out in training and I just cant do it =/

The stance cancel is surprisingly easy to use. If you can do stuff as simple as something like Cr.H.Punch to her QCB.L.Kick then you can do all her stance combos. The Light Kick when in Serenity stream is easy to link on crouching H.Punch and back H.Punch. If you combo to her Standing H.Kick then Serenity Stream will also link the M.Kick. The game is very lenient on the stance cancel. Also if you get good at using the stance cancel you can negate the charging usually required on her Spinning Bird Kick and Kikoken. I like helping players, so if you would like to a custom lobby training room I would be down. Are you on PC, Xbox or PSN ?

charge SBK during the LK, LP than press up and LP at the last moment into immediate LK the timing is pretty tight.

I have a question about Beginner String #1 3hp, when do you use this if they can just interrupt or block after drive rush? If I do it late they can just interrupt, if I do it early I'm too far away to complete the combo.

Mix-ups like 3HP generally requires you to condition the opponent a certain way before it hits. If the opponent is mashing buttons do MP route. That isn't interruptible. If they are blocking high, you can do 2LK (which also isn't interruptible). By doing these two routes, you can condition the opponent to block low and 3HP route is more likely to hit. You have to adjust the route you take by observing your opponent and predicting what they are going to do.

as a total beginer: is there a reason you are recommending to learn strings compared to the easier combos in the first video? I find the strings hard to memorize. What should I start with first?

is there a timing to respect before doing the drive rush on the first combos ? Because when the guy is getting back up my drive rush is on but i always hit the guard. Am I doing it to slowly ? or maybe to soon ?

The opponent can block on wake up and the subsequent hits are not guaranteed. That is why there are four basic choices and you need to change based on what you predict your opponent will do. Are they blocking high? Do the 2LK starter. Are they blocking low? do the 3HP starter. etc. etc. Check out the okizeme tutorial video for how this concept works. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jX7KeHWrnNaJabs

you have to charge db during hazanshu on impact immediately go b+HP into up+HK the timing is pretty tight.

If there is a stance cancel previously in your combo then you don't need to charge any of your specials.

Theres a 10f window(I think, not sure tho) where you can stop charging and do SBK, you just use that windows to connect some other mov and then before the windows expires press up+K

Two answers: 1. Check the pinned comment that shows you have a few frames of leniency to fit in a neutral normal. I think that's the answer you're looking for. 2. For newbies who might not know, there's another way to do those specials without charge which is Chun-specific in SF6. Charge moves don't need full charge from serenity stance (quarter circle back and punch). You can cancel a stance punch or kick into fireball or sbk without having to do the full charge. You still need the full movement so forward and punch isn't all you need for fireball. Up and kick aren't all you need for sbk. You still need the back or the down input but you just need to have pressed it at all. So you can do a normal, cancel into stance and a quick stance LP or stance LK, then immediately do fireball even if there didn't seem to be enough time. Easiest way I've found to do it is just to make sure when I do the quarter circle back, I keep holding that back or down or both right away. Hope that helps.
