That triangular insert is interesting. With Inconel it's rare you will get to flip the insert over and use the other side. With my experiences it usually wore enough that the opposite side is unusable.

+909busa Thank you for commenting. This new triangular double-sided ceramic high-feed insert has the benefit of a very large cutting edge radius. It is spotted negative for strength and has a wedge-type clamping system for maximum stability. These three design features and the IN76 grade offer excellent cutting edge life in various cutting conditions. As a general rule, we recommend indexing the inserts once the flank wear reaches approximately 1mm (.039”). Depending on the cutting conditions, the flank wear can be pushed beyond 1mm if needed. -ICTC Product Management
