Well, yes, but no. If you are interested: The b uses both lips to make the sound, and the v uses the upper lip and the bottom teeth to make the sound. Is not like an f, you must make the air lock with the mouth to make it sound like b more than f. Similar problem with ph and f, but it needs to not make the air lock for both sounds. It's easier and weirder than it seems.

Thing is, there's no "v" sound in Spanish despite having "v" in their alphabet. Some teachers tend to teach the "v" sound anyway, but little people use it while talking.
