Maybe this was modified in the time since this video was made and now but you can hit a MP DP instead of an LP off a QCB+MK. You just have to perform it very quickly (the way I do it is do the DP input then double-tap MP at the end to ensure that it gets read). Also when you CA cancel like this it gets the full animation.

Canceling light kick into tatsu is so hard. Took me 2 hours before I was able to land my first s.MP s.LK xx LK tatsu LPDP. I had to learn tatsu into DP, light xx tatsu, mp lk, and light xx tatsu lpDP before I was able to put the piece together. I've spent the last 20m cleaning it up input wise. Im gonna have to come back the next 2 or 3 days to nail it consistently from cold..l. and this is just my entry combo to Kage.

SPHINX NOIR for the fire ball do a qcf and keep going until you finish in the upright position, so in notation it should be 2369 x punch button. For the air tatsu it’s much more difficult but you wanna do qcb then immediately flick the stick to upforward. The notation would be 2149 x kick button. Hope this helps you! Someone explained it to me and after practicing I get it much more consistently now.

The technique is called tiger knee. For Tiger knee EX tatsu, you're gonna do the motion for tatsu but instead of pressing the kick button right away after it you're gonna first hit forward and up. Then, after that, you hit the kick buttons like you normally would

@@reudig123lol4 I’ll try to explain the best I can, Kage has some weird timings to get used to though. For hit confirming I guess just react/anticipate your button hitting your opponent and see which combos you can do afterwards, like whichever button into more normals, or into specials, v-trigger cancels and into super just like in the video. You just have to practice and know the combo routes of your buttons that you press. Idk if I’ve explained well but I tried my best to say what I was thinking.

Bison and the combos feel a litlle bit eaasier to get, tho i have a new problem, which is the Holding Back and then forward Kick special moves :D its insane how much harder this game is than MK where i come from ^^ can you explain what canceling means and how to do it thats my main issue, i watch combo guides and they always write XX in their combos (cancel)

@@reudig123lol4 canceling is when you use a normal that links into one of your special moves, or a special move into v-trigger cancel with the correct timing, spacing, and appropriate light, medium, heavy, or EX special move. To v-trigger cancel as soon as a move lands you wanna push heavy punch and heavy kick that the same time. depending on a combo you’re doing a light or heavy special move may be to fast/slow or don’t have enough reach to link with one of your normals. So with bison for example you can do crouching medium punch into medium scissor kick. For the scissor kick you wanna hold back or down+back for a couple seconds and then immediately forward+ medium kick. To get the scissor kick to combo with the medium punch you’ll want to be holding down back the entire time.

@@Shaiahable alright its just so hard to get it out, im used to rush in, do a combo and then a special to extend it feels so weird to hold back while starting a combo :D i kinda understand the cancelling now but i dont know why to do it... for example the Smedium into Cmedium into Scissors, there is a cancel between Cmedium and Scissiors in the guide, but you want the move to come out or? why try to cancel...

Well it's not a combo but a very important building block of *all* combos and a bit of a trick that took me, well I don't want to admit how long it took me to realize it, but it's called the two-in-one and is behind a lot of the "impossible" timings of most simple to advanced combos. Take the most basic. Ryu's low forward two in one into a fireball, with Kage this leads to even larger combos, and with both characters it teaches one of the most important basics: How to two in one into your super: I'll list the easiest way to practice this with Ryu so you have the jist. Start with a Standing Fierce but at the same instant you hit the Fierce button, *simultaneously* be registering a down input (the down animation will not come out as it is cancelled.) now smoothly finish the forward motion and fierce button again for the Hadouken and you will see Ryu go from a standing fierce *instantly* into the fireball animation and see the 2-Hit indicator. Once you have got this down, practice adding another Hadouken motion to it and bingo, you are comboing a standing fierce into Hadouken into Critical Art. More importantly, you should now have a sense for how combos and timings are built. Try not to throw out raw CAs. It is a critical waste of resources. "Gotta' spread that butter!" as Yipes would say. :D If you find yourself struggling with combos, break them down into pieces and then connect the pieces. The character trials are also a great tool as they have a demonstration that lets you watch and get a feel for the timing. Hope that helps and Welcome to Street Fighter! :D

Sure thing, once you have the basics you may want to see the link I left above for Ricki Ortiz's "Instant Air Legs" technique since I hear Kage uses it to do a Tatsumaki very close to the ground. Actually that whole video teaches a lot of important stuff about inputs and combos. Especially what Gootecks said about execution: "Just remember that if something isn't coming out it's usually because you're imputing it too fast and not focusing on precision." Just be patient, put that good work in, remember that practice makes better, and let muscle memory take care of the rest!

what i have learned todo when doing his trails is do the back tatsu MOTION then go UP FORWARD then press TWO KICK it takes abit of getting used to but t works. do the tatsu into up foward motion fast then press the two kicks

Because...Evil Ryu is "Ryu but evil", essentially. It's Ryu drawing on the Satsui no Hadou but it's still his body. Kage is the evil ki that Ryu has purged from himself turned into a body of its own.
