Sick tech. Apparently after some testing it's not just Ryu specific. You can "OS" anything that you can't cancel into. Like Cammy cr.lk into cr.lp+DP. Or even Chun's cr.lk into st.lp+EX SBK.

dhwang80 depends the button they press, if they press a heavy or medium U can always get cr.hp into tatsu/shoryu

i'll have to get in the lab and test. If they v reversal, would I have time to max damage cr hp, h dp.. If they 3 frame jab me, would i get a lp dp out or would it get blocked.

As I said in the video, this option loses to grab so command grab will beat this tech. The whole point of this is to make their offense weak and predictable. Going for grab everytime on knockdown is not something your opponent wants to do.

you need the delay otherwise the parry will never trigger but it doesn't need to be a short, cr.jab should work as well but I don't see any reason to ever go for cr.lp instead of cr.lk.

Everything related with Ryu's parry dangerous as fuck without condom ... for ryu) and reward is regular st mp cr mp ex hadoken or hp shoryuken and etc, if have 100% v trigger meter than you can output some more damage, but if you fail, recovery from parry is 20+ frames = catch crush counter fucking japanese) But still that Tokido tech very intrested

yes, but it turns out to be a big gamble alot of the time. after some testing in actual matches I realized you need to be very careful when to use this tech.

Also you can't parry os against Ken with medium attacks. His V-reversal is too fast. You need to do it from light attacks. He was looking to punish that option as well. Ken players love their v-reversal lol

Ryu: cr.LK, cr.LP + MP + MK (parry) string. It can be used both offensively and defensively. When used on offense, it beats wake up buttons (like wakeup st.LP, cr.HP - which has been used by Daigo since the st.LP may CH and allow the cr.HP to combo) and jump back OS. When used on defense, it can beat meatys and shimmies. There are some downsides to this tech. It loses to throws and the parry only comes out if the opponent's string has at least a 3f gap. If their gap is less than 3f, the parry doesn't have enough time to come out and Ryu will get counter hit. This isn't too bad though, because the opponent would not be able to confirm off of their string anyway because their initial attack (the meaty) was blocked, and their following light normal (inside their string) would CH which wouldn't give enough time for them to confirm the combo (example: another Ryu doing meaty cr.MP, st.LK).

He starts explaining about 2:30. Way too long before he actually gets to the point. Stop around 3:15, because he rambles. TL;DW the tech beats jump-tech OS, beats MOST things that has a 3+ frame gap. It's used by a string going from cr.LK -> cr.LP(+MP+MK) [3 buttons at once]. It automatically parries most things with a gap of 3+ frames until the end of the actual parry animation. Watch 4:57, it shows how the tech can be used to beat frame-traps with a minimum of 3 frame gaps. Stop at 5:45. The bot throws him, and he wakes-up with buttons into a popular counter-hit set-up Ryu players use; CH st.LP into cr.FP. The bot is configured to use cr.LK -> Parry OS. The cr.LK is logged but does not come out, but for good reason. After blocking the jab, Jimmy goes into the cr.FP which is a 4 frame gap from a st.LP. Skip to 6:57 to see it in action again with more options this tech beats. This guy literally just rambles on about his thoughts instead of showing what the OS is about.
