I can remember SGAP posting this song the same day I posted my song Dashie's Dreams. I recall him commenting on my channel, "I will avenge you." Not entirely sure what he meant by that, but all I know is that, pony-music aside, he is my favorite musician I've ever been blessed to hear. Wish I got to know him better.

I was 4chanin' today and some anon posted this link (we all are oldfags on that thread). Just noticed your comment, voodoo. I don't know if keeping that mysterious tone to SGaP is better than hearing of what he (according to ATR) was like. I mean, as a fan of SGaP (one that never ran with the luck to talk with him) I used to think he was a great person and overly generous (he pretty much gave away all of his music for the fandom, to use it in whatever way we wanted, talk about generosity!). But ATR told me SGaP was way different in person, and that he was kind of easy to upset and very grumpy and had mood swings. On the other hoof, I personally found out ATR can get to be an asshole himself recently after how he treated me like disposable trash in the last 3 months (loooooooong story, if you wanna hear about it PM me), so probably SGaP wasn't the nasty person ATR told me he was and ATR was just sore from... reasons and jealousy. Who knows, is not like anypony can reach out to SGaP up to this point, so I personally prefer to think he was a misunderstood genius who gave far too much for the fandom and felt empty at some point, thus leaving us behind.

@@magicalmidgethorse4730 I think ATR were probably telling the truth, honestly. Regardless of how you feel about them, I think they were being honest. You have to keep in mind that SGAP is, in reality, just a person. A person who's just as flawed and imperfect as the rest of us. It's easy to listen to their music and think that it's an accurate reflection of the artist at their core, and while it may reflect a lot of the better elements of their character, it's also good to remember that their art is simply an idealization. It highlights and pinpoints the beauty in life that we might not otherwise have seen, however it is also sure to leave out everything else. There's really only a single song of SGAP's that even touches on any profoundly negative subject matter, so I think believeing that his music is a complete and whole reflection of him himself is a mistake. I've never spoken to him myself either, but I've seen and read enough about him from all kinds of different people who've known him to have a decent idea of what his flaws are, and that description of him seems pretty on point. Of course this is all from a long time ago so it's hard to say how much he might (or might not) have changed since then, but still. I think the issue partly stems from him presenting himself more as a picture than a person, he was fairly vocal and open at first but afterwards became more isolated which only served to make people think of him more as an idea (or idealization) than as another human being just like themselves, which is kind of ironic since he did it to distance himself from his fans, and yet that's no doubt what's kept us drawn to him for so long and kept him from appearing as simple and mundane as the rest of us. There's a decent number of things I could show you in PMs that could maybe give a better idea of his actual self if you want, but for now I'll just link this kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4u7eKV7m8t4rtk Of course me saying all this isn't intended to be disrespectful to him or anything, I'm sure he's a good person as a whole, but we've got to remember that a whole is simply a sum of it's parts, and that always includes some things that are far from perfect. Even more simply it means you can be individualistic all you want, but most of the people around you will identify with and engage in power relations with groups because that's a much easier way and sometimes the only possible way to serve your self-interests.

the newer seasons aren't great. The reason most people got into the show in the first place was because of the style of writing the first 2 seasons had. with lauren faust now gone and the writers today trying too hard to appeal to bronies the show has really lost its adorable charm.

I always loved this music. I remember when i found this masterpiece back in 2013... But know it's so hard for me to listen.... Back in 2013 i was doing law degree, when a friend (my crush at that time) said "hey, did you know that the creator of Jonny Bravo, Dexter, and PPG, is making a new cartoon? It's MLP - FiM! AND IT'S AWESOMEEE". Since i liked her, i gave it a try, even thou i knew it was a "kid/girly" cartoon.... But welp... I loved the first few episodes to the point I started using a mlp wallpapers on my laptop... Later when I was on a Civil Law class, the teacher took my computer to use as example, and one classmate saw my MLP wallpaper... When the Class was over, this gyt talked with me.... It was a guy with +- 1.92m (sorry i don't know the size in ft since i'm from Brazil) and said "hey, are you a B-brony??" And I said "WHOAAAA you know the series?? Isn't it AWESOME?!" then we started to talk about animes, games, mlp, etc. His nick was (Psy) cause he was just like the korean singer. I bring him to met the girl i liked, we convinced other friends to watch the show, and in no time almost everyone from my group of friends was watching MLP. Hahehehe One friend even gave me a pinkie pie plush, that I bring to college for almost 1 year. It was our Mascot. Hahehe... Our group was about 30~~35 people. Those were good times... Few years later i dropped the college, cause it was too fucking expensive (I still plan on finish it), stopped talking with the girl i secretly loved for years (i have no regrets for not telling her about my feelings. We were too friends for me to ruin it by telling "hey i love you") the group itself started to disband at some point... And to make everything worse, +-4 years ago, this guy who met me at our class, got depressed and start to mix medicine with alcohol... After some years fighting against depression, in 2018 he was drinking on a regular basis... And one day his sister found him on the floor of his home, with an empty bottle of some whisky, she called the ambulance, but his kidney was collapsing... After +- 20 days on ICU, his liver also stopped and one of his lungs got drown on his own fluids... I really wish I could have helped him more effectively... I loved him like he was my own brother... After his death our group disbanded, I still talk with some of them, but it will never come back together... It's sad to see how life can change so fast... My message for everyone who are reading this, is to enjoy the good moments of life... Idon't want to sound like a cliche or something like "yeah life is beautiful"... It's just that you really don't know what will happen tomorrow... P.s: Sorry to bring a sad story out of nowhere... Dec, 8 was his birthday, and i remembered this music. and i wanted to release this feeling inside me... I never talked about this subject with anyone at all... And sorry for my bad english. I've learned all my english from games and stuff, so my grammar is well... think like someone who only talked with players. Hahehe

Sergio Ignacio Meier Munita I practiced for a while, but i haven’t done so in a while. My main instrument is guitar, and that has priority when it comes to practicing. Other hobbies outside ot music also get in the way. But i guess i play it well enough to be able to incorporate simple harmonica parts in songs. :P

I got in SGAP’s music back in January 2021 and hearing this for the first time really gave me the nostalgia chills. I was pretty much a late fan into his work but this song and his other songs gave me inspiration into my drawings and characters that I started writing my favorite cartoon project that honestly gives off this vibe. I’m still working on this cartoon project now in 2025, that’s why this song is so special to me even as a mlp fan for 10 years now. SGAP’s music is so unique and nostalgic, the fact that he used mlp while making music like this is honestly really amazing! I will always come back to this song.
