So in a sense, Sweet Tooth became the picture boy later on, like how Scorpion became the picture boy for MK. And speaking of him, I'm actually a fan of his more modern design. It looks so freaking crazy I love it! (Basically a fat clown with a burning head who looks like he walked off Mad Max.) And heres hoping we see Twisted Metal again for the next gen.

+computermonster1 I think Jaffe said Twisted Metal was over after how much effort went into the PS3 one. I don't remember if it's true, but I read it somewhere… I hope I'm wrong honestly, I'd be pleasantly surprised if I was.

Like any art, times change perspectives and successors can come along to also pick the retired veterans back from off their coutches.

+AlluMan96 I'd agree with you, but that honestly worries me, because the last time a "retired series" got into the hands of another company… I think Twisted Metal should just go out with a bang. 2012 was a good end, but in my opinion Head-On was the best way the series could've finished.

+AlluMan96 Yes and no?… ESP is gone (the last decent titles they helped on being the last two Twisted Metal games) to work on mobile games now. It's entirely possible that at some point Jaffe could bring back Twisted Metal if there's anything else he wants to do, but it seems like it'd be with SCE San Diego, since that's where he's working on "Drawn to Death", which is like Twisted Metal's little brother. So it's entirely up to him alone, I would be pleasantly surprised if something happened years from now. Besides, there's many directions a game series could go in after all!… I'm just unfortunately pessimistic at times, because of my username-sake.

No its not a bad thing...I flipp'n love the challenge this game offered..Plus the bonus stages that the Super Gaming Bros. didn't show..The insanity greatness of a multiplayer...the mechanics of some stages like the crane use in the first level. Plus having each boss in each level. The alternate 90's future was executed nicely although I wish they said this was a reboot, or something as the story is off compared to the other ones, but then again thats twisted metal for ya. I don't give a rats that people call this the black sheep...matter of fact they can kiss twisted metal 1, or 2. Because I prefer the 4's slippery vehicle style compare to 1, and 2's skateboard driving style. Plus the fact these cars stop on a dime compare to Twisted Metal 2's brakes...just wow. :) Yes its true that this Sweet Tooth sorta loss his sense of murder comparing to 2's case, but I actually find this one more scary without saying the vehicle difference.

It's my favorite from the other 4 Twisted Metal games on the Ps1, TM 3 has the worst endings, TM 4 is too easy and the freeze weapon is broken, but this game has a great soundtrack!

I think the problem why people have thy beef..Is the fact it's called 4 when it's not even a sequel to the previous as it got it's own story so to say compare to the previous leaving quite a throw off in the numbers, but other than that I still love this one. owo

Sweet Tooth has probably has the most scary ass special I ever seen in gaming still after 17 flipp'n years...my gawd it still gives me the chills through those years. Yet I flipp'n love it compare to all the other tooth[s]. [uses a henchmen special] GO GET EM' BOYS!! :) By the way theres a broken reverse weapon glitch too. How it works if your out of weapons, and use the reverse weapon...You fire a weapon in reverse, but that weapon that is fired is the weapon you previously last used...So if your fire a homing missle that was last weapon in your arsenal, and input the reverse fire code...Its fires a free homing missle in reverse. So now think about the specials. Then you see what I mean. :)

Yeah Sweet Tooth is stupidly good in this game. The Henchmen special not only tracks really well, goes through walls, and bombards you, but it also reloads really fast compared to other specials iirc. And his stats arent too shabby either as fa as I am aware. On topic of the game it isnt too bad I guess. A lot better than 3 at the least though

Its not really broken because hyper space exists up up down down teleport to a different part of the map also shield lasts so long in this game i can beat any noob sweettooth in tm4 lol

his special does the most damage in the game, you're FORCED to use a hyperspace or shield to prevent damage from it, it goes through any wall in the game, traps you completely, doesn't need to be aimed, recharges decently fast, on top of the most armored car in the game that goes very fast... it's pretty much the most broken special in the entire series. nothing can really be compared to it.

Twisted Metal on PS3 gameplay wise it's really good however that game have a lot of serious issue like the lacking of character and online mode in that game sucks I still think Twisted Metal: Black is the best in the series.

TM 3-4 and small brawl are the worst of Twisted Metal. Especially 3 and 4. I hate what they did to Sweet Tooth in both games. Thank god Black came along and fixed everything up.
