Just the bland video I needed, while being under the weather. And, no, that wasn’t a dig, I do appreciate it.

The first EDC belt I ever bought has a metal buckle on it that probably weighs 3/4 of a pound. I always fly with that belt. If I take that off an wrap it around my hand it becomes a nasty weapon. I would add Trojan Magnums in my carry on, but everything else you have is excellent

Good idea with the belt!

I forgot to leave my knife one morning. The TSA dude was like c'mon, I'll walk u back out. Took the knife back to my truck and the dude waved me through when I got back in line. The knife wasn't expensive, just kicking myself for forgetting about it. At least that guy was cool though

I did the same except with an expensive knife. Screener was excellent and very understanding stating "you want to check your bag now, right? Right?" Yes, yes I do.......

@@bradstairhime3228 The biggest tip is make sure your firearm is legal at. your desitination along with connections in case flights are cancelled and you have to retrieve your checked bag. Happened to me where I had a connecting flight in NJ cancelled. Had to go to TSA to retrieve bag and place firearm in their secure area to be retrieved the next morning for my rescheduled flight. Know where resources are online to check in case this happens to you. In terms of general travel, it's really quite easy. I always travel with my handgun/EDC. Place unloaded in a locked case (padlock or combo lock), and in the bag you are going to check. When you go to check your bag, declare that you have a firearm in the bag, you sign and orange card, place it on the case, they may ask a question or two, and then recommend locking your checked bag as well with a TSA lock that will have an indicator telling you if the bag has been opened. They then throw on the belt or take you to a TSA area depending on the airport and off it goes. When you land, go directly to baggage claim and get your bag. BTW, TSA's own "rules" are inconsistent stating you can use a TSA lock on your gun case but also state only you can have access to the locked case, IE the key or combination. If its a TSA lock, everyone in the TSA has access so a hard pass for my. I use a keyed padlock to lock the case and TSA locks on the bag with said open/tamper indicators. Overall, very easy. Have done a few hundred times myself.

A check-in with a handgun would be nice. It's good to have a refresher.

I recommend bringing a USB condom. It will allow you to safely plug your phone into a random public USB port to get power. Basically it removes all data connections in the USB and only passes through the power. Also, the snake staff systems tourniquets are great for travel. Nice and small.

I will toss out a vote for the checking process for a firearm. Would love to see tips from someone I have come to trust give me the lowdown. Almost did it this past year for vacation but we were flying into Boston so I didn’t do it….
