I lost interest in my Apollo compact. The sights suck balls for a 1911 and the barrel fitment seems loose. Mine wouldn’t feed with factory mags or staccato mags let alone hallow points. Thinking about shelving the apollo compact upper and then I’d like to put a 5 inch atlas slide on it and get the 4 portsman maybe. I see you all the time saying great things about the prodigy but in your opinion how does an atlas do in comparison to a fully done up prodigy? Do you think the prodigy can get close with a plague compared to an atlas with sight block or are those totally different shooting guns?

I can fix the Apollo upper it needs work but we can getit to be a better gun instead of doing all the extra work of a new upper

@ it’s mostly the iron sights that’s making me wanna wash my hands of it. Is it possible to cut the slide for Novak or Bomar sights? I have a extra 5 inch barrel but it’s not a bull barrel so I was kinda brainstorming ideas on how to use spare parts and maybe end up liking the Apollo more.
