When I was a child in the 80s, I remember people would bring Frog Eye Salad to Halloween parties in my neighborhood. This was in the midwest, and I guess we had a different version of it because we would always use small pearl tapioca, not pasta. I liked it a lot when I was a kid because it was sweet, but I haven't seen anyone make this salad in years. I think it's mainly a Utah and Idaho thing these days.
