The staff is my favourite weapon. The art in the way it performs, the simplicity of being a single piece of a tree, and the defensive, merciful, non-lethal nature of it. Incredible.

Thank you. It's been so long. Long, those proud steps. There is one born down from centuries, from the Tarim Mummy, the red haired beauty of Xioahe at Xianjiang, who was at Shaolin; Jet Li might know... Nice work. I remember.
Well done! I started Shaolin staff in the mid 80s (along with Okinawa Shorin bo), and am still learning. Training partners can be hard to find (lots of bruises and bumps while learning. It is both practical martial skill, and moving Zen meditation.

Thanks to the uploader and the teacher. I know in japanese it is used the name of kata. Example a Bo kata but it is not bo kata cause is from China. What is the name in mandarin of bo kata? Also there is no explanation of how to perform attacks and defensive movements. Finally I know martial arts like White Crane, Mantis, monkey kung fu just to mention 3. What is the name of this martial arts style? And who is the person that have the right to teach because his studies and training? This man obviously is s teacher not fake. Too many fake teachers wanna be and fraud. Beautiful kata and not demanding because many kung fu katas are very hard making too difficult to perform.

i think the word you are looking for is 套(tao)路(lu),which means a sequence of actions combine together. similar to Kata in Karate, You won't fight with it, but practice it is helpful to get familiar with the actions transition etc. Hopefully this answer your question.
