This had me belly laughing, thanks for that-- A quick observation of another birding dilemma at .31 seconds - the left objective lens cap on your binoculars is flipped up, blocking the lens while you're looking to the left of the second hill. Classic.

Pretty amazing. 10,000 views. How far can this get? Can it reach a million? I think it can! Everybody share now! It is the perfect counterpoint to all the people who have seen The Big Year. It shows a very humane and innocent side to birdwatchers. There is an interview with Jason on Birdingblogs and a chance to wind his DVD opposable chums.

What about...Oh just another LBJ, it's 2:00 in that tree at 40 percent near the area where the tree forks. Where are my bins? Ahhh..crap it flew... You see where the light is shining on that branch? Just 5 feet up from that and a little to the right. Is that a Snowy Owl or some styrofoam? A great late night quote I have uttered several times to non-birders.... "Um, there are warblers going over."

Reminds one time my dad stopped in a parking lot to pick up something from McDonald's, I just sticked my head out the car and watched some alpine swift, while thinking how awkward I look to all the people passing by, but then the swifts got closer to me so I didn't care about anything else...
