Humor evolved as a way for us to bond, since tight-knit groups have better survival chances in the wild. It's generally based on the breaking of social boundaries and expectations, and 'logic gone awry'. Humor also encourages our creativity and interconnection. For example, the concept of a shitty Iron Man makes sense, but it's not something you'd ever think of in everyday life (logic), and it completely breaks from the expectations of what an Iron Man-esque hero is like (boundaries). If we didn't have humor, that new concept and many others would have had no reason to exist. Potty humor deals with poop and pee, which break boundaries in obvious ways, and pooping in the suit makes sense but is not a situation you'd have ever considered. That makes it funny for the same reasons as anything else. In short: People who encourage a societal taboo of potty humor for adults don't understand how humor works in the first place.
