@@hrobbins And, you are failing to realize that many U.S. states are openly ignoring U.S. federal law. That means a significant majority of each state favored marijuana legalization in some form or another. Don't act like there aren't millions of Americans who favor marijuana use. Also, I do need to correct myself. Around 22% of marijuana users admit they smoke it daily (about 55 million Americans). Over 70% of Americans (about 231 million Americans out of 333 million U.S. population) have admitted they smoked it at least once in their lifetime. Wtf are you talking about, weed is one of the safest drugs in existence. Even over-the-counter medications can be dangerous if you take too much (e.g. Tylenol), but you can't overdose on weed. You'll feel unpleasant for a while, but it won't _kill_ you like a lot of other substances (alcohol, by comparison, is about 254 times more dangerous than edible THC according to the LD50). A lot of us, including myself, would like to know what all the hype is about surrounding this plant, and given that experts estimate thousands of lives could be saved if weed supplanted alcohol as the recreational drug of choice, there is NO REASON you or anyone else should complain. We're not just "throwing our lives away." Are we not allowed to have fun once in a while? And in her case, she did it to deal with the grief she was suffering over the loss of her biological mother.
