I’ve had intense generalized anxiety for about 40 years. I’ve had counseling and medication, both helped a little. But your videos are the first thing that has really helped me, and I just found your videos a couple of weeks ago. You have such amazing insight; I’ve never heard anxiety and anxiety recovery explained this way

I know a lot of people who have shortness of breath SOMETIMES. But i have it all the time actually from waking up to going to bed it looks like. Have you also had this? It’s my main symptom basically. A lot of the time I don’t even feel anxious but the feelings of suffocation and only being able to breath from chest is always there

I finally hit my rock bottom moment i had a panic attack and afterwords something in me just snapped, my true personality came back and i just said i can't let this take over anymore, my anxious thoughts are lies, illusions, my fears over my symptoms are irrational and not real, theres no threat im in no danger, i created this and im gonna pull myself out, no matter how bad i feel im just gonna go and push through even if its hell, how i feel doesnt matter its how i respond to the fear. Been watching you for about a month since my anxiety started and for some reason now it just clicked, thanks for all the videos shaan and showing people the true way out and being such a inspiration for others

You are so right Shaan that years ago there was no information about anxiety to help those of us who struggled. I have struggled for over 40 years and in my 20s was the worst. No one could explain the me what was going on. No one to help me. I just wanted to understand. For me I exercised like crazy and worked, a lot. Now that I have recently retired anxiety has hit me strong. Your videos have been my sanity! Thank you ♥️

The only way to fight anxiety inducing Thoughts is to allow them to come and go through your consciousness. You can't stop Thoughts, you can't stop your Brain from thinking, your Brain's job is to THINK, just like how your Heart's job is to beat and pump blood. Treat a Thought like you treat a beat of a heart, it's just a heartbeat, it's just a Brain-think. You don't need to argue with the thought, debate with the thought, negotiate with the thought, take the thought seriously, try to push away the thought, or do anything with the thought. You just let it come, and then let it go, without the urge to fight it or stop it. Just like how you don't need to worry about, debate, or argue with every beat of the Heart, you don't need to worry about, debate, or argue with every thought of the Brain.
