At 65 I do 2 minute rounds. (If Tyson does it it's OK by me). I've got 2 steel hips. I can't run but I can shuffle real well, I never knew that you can easily get great cardio with your arms and foot work. NEVER SAY DIE!

Right when I was going to quit you somehow talked me into finishing. These workouts are gold! Thank you so much. Lovin the realistic combos that just flow out of the body if you’re relaxed enough. Keep up the great work JT!

Oh and the best part of this video was when you reminded us to slow down. It seemed to free me up to take my time with the combos. Great coaching.

Coach Jay Van, I just want to thank you for your awesome instruction to us boxers. I am blessed to have subscribed to your KZbin channel, and I am blessed that my boxing coaches love your instruction, as well. On top of that, the head coach of my gym, gave me a key to the gym, and I am blessed to train everyday. Your shadow boxing videos, pad work videos, and heavy bag work videos are all incorporated into my work outs. Thank you, champ. 🥊🥊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾✝️❤️

That's awesome to hear Jeff! I really try to make these workouts for the competitive boxer but at the same time easy enough for beginners to follow along and aspire to.

@@boxinghomeworkouts, Coach Jay Van, have you watched or heard of a former professional boxer named Dmitry Pirog? He retired young, and is now 40 years old. He retired undefeated. His record was 20 wins 0 losses. Anyways, if you have not seen him fight, if you have time, watch his knock out of Daniel Jacobs. The reason that I really love his boxing style is that he’s a master at shifting. His defense is excellent, and he’s a pressure fighter. If and when you have the time, please check out the Pirog vs. Jacobs fight. Coach Jay Van, he’s creatively yet awkwardly very effective. In studying his style, he’s doing a lot of tactics that opponents are not used to.

Shadow boxing workouts don't get much better than this. Will probably come back to this now that I've got the combos flowy and start visualizing more. That last combo, on an opponent backed up in a corner, shuffling in range forward with that body shot.. Geez. Poor lad eh! Ups and jabs and that cross from the chamber 😂 😂

I just have a question about form, whenever I do a combo involving the hook or 3. I tend to drop a little bit before throwing it. Should I throw it from my cheeks or lower it and then throw it. Thanks!
@boxinghomeworkouts3 жыл бұрын
When you watch a lot of pros in slow motion you see that they actually lower it a bit, or 'get it ready'. So it's ok to let it drop a bit, the key is that you want to start the rotation of your body first, and not just swing the arm.
@sentailinn71943 жыл бұрын

@boxinghomeworkouts3 жыл бұрын
Lose fat by burning calories, not gain muscle. You need to lift weights for that.
