Man I am so addicted to this playthrough. This has definitely been my warm, fuzzy comfort videos I watch in the background while working on stuff. Thanks again for making this my dude. Also YES to the motorbike infantry!

Motorbikes can at least use LasGuns, but I wanted to see them getting Personal Shields. Yes. Metal Mine is FINALLY connected.

I've made the largest motorcycle unit available before with lasers. Then I would engage with a well armored unit, and do a follow-up attack with the large motorcycle unit. They'd slaughter them! However, my other units suffered from not getting much XP, so I've backed off of doing that. It was a blast though. :)

I concur, looks like the enemy is having some supply issues. Not enough to confidently push but your salami tactics seem to be doing the trick. Pity you didn't look at the new tank model, I hope it's useful.

Yeah you definitely got lucky that they appear to have gotten entangled in a second conflict. Once you find out who that was they were fighting then you'll definitely need to owe them a gift! haha. Because the way things had been going just a few turns before, it was really starting to look like you were done for. If they had been able to continue pushing with their tanks after they had first showed up then... Yeah, it would have been over. Your entire situation was too precarious at the time to have been able to have resisted a determined push with the superiority they appeared to have. It was just deeply fortunate that the tanks and half their army disappeared when it did. lol

There seems to be a gap in their lines. Could you use your vehicles to cut them in half or raid their supply lines (Is that possible in the game?)?

You can indeed! Sadly you need two things: a) vehicles and b) fuel to run them, both of which I'm struggling to get right now! But that'll be my plan once my industry is back on it's feet!

Hey Ben, i know this vid is older, but i'm watching, or trying, the whole series while im really back into SE at the moment. I have to say though, while the ads between turns are understandable and fit well with the flow (as annoying as all ads are as a necessary evil to fund things), the fact there are midrolls as well is a bit much. 16m, 20m, 25m etc. Not sure if it something you've set or YT forces or defaults to, but its unfortunately a bit much i have to say as it just seems to be constantly interrupting. Sorry to be a negative nancy, but its really grating on me. Other than that, i'm really enjoying it As i said, i know its older, but just food for thought for the future series/vids

KZbin just inserts ads in whether I monetise the channel or not, so I do monetise the channel because if you're getting ads anyway, I might as well get some of the income for it. But that sounds incredibly excessive to me, I'll see if I can figure out how to reduce the amount of ads you're seeing. There are other ways to avoid ads on KZbin though. One is to be a KZbin member (which does mean paying for the privilege). There are others I think, I'm not allowed to talk about them though ;) Thank you for taking the time to let me know, I really appreciate that. It's helpful and I want to minimise problems.

@@battlemode I have considered Premium, but can't justify the cost at the moment. Refuse to use "other methods" because that just hurts you guys and the pittance you get from KZbin as it is I figured it was automatic, but was just hoping it was something adjustable I always picture YT's upper management in meetings discuss the dilemma of falling revenue due to more people leaving the platform and how they are going to fix it. "Easy. More ads forcefully placed. Meeting adjourned" *slaps face*

A red ? means a unit is out of supply. The white ? means they are supplied but you don't know their status.

The RPG troops are anti-tank?

Yes, they're for killing Hard targets. Of course, their efficacy changes depending on technology level and relative model designs

rpg occupy a space between small arms and bazooka. Effective against both infantry and armor, yet falls short of specialized damage. Best to use in defense against 5mm

It's not just you, if I recall correctly the number was reduced after people complained about it. A good change: I like the decisions but sometimes dealing with dozens per turn got a bit much

It's a shame about the diplo changes. I think it needed more nuance and not just a quadrupling of the difficulty. Like most wargames the diplomacy has now become irrelevant. The good news is that you can safely ignore the diplo council until lategame. Bad news is the choices have narrowed.

Diplomacy was so overpowered that it was banned in most MP games and I had a house rule not to use it. I think something had to be done, but I haven't played this version long enough to make a judgement on whether this is too mich or not

@@battlemode yeah, it was too easy. But my layman conclusion is that it was due to it being in 2 steps. Become protectorate, annex. Easy way to gain 100k pops in late game. Adding more depth to the system such as multiple layers, protection agreements without annexation to shore up borders, etc. The current system results in 400+ difficulty checks using cards with 1d100 + (10 to 50 depending on skill). May as well have just disabled the system if it's going to be mathematically impossible.
